East Coast Car Rentals - Launceston Airport

We are travelling and Our car broke down in front of East Coast car hire which was extremely fortuitous for us . Even before it became clear that we would need a hire car Hafiz the service representative came out to help us he took my son to airport, let us use the facilities in his business and offered us seats whilst we waited for road side assist. He was amazing so helpful and obliging. Same when we had to hire a car from him.Gave us an upgrade to a car that was almost new and didn’t try to get extras from us. His hire price was very reasonable as well. Can’t thank him enough.

We were very pleased with this company. No fuss car rental.
Everything was handled professionally and with courtesy. We got an upgrade as our chosen vehicle was unavailable. The vehicle was near new and in perfect condition. Drove like a dream. As they operate offsite from the airport at Launceston, a shuttle bus picked us up and dropped us off in a timely manner, so no stress!
Overall we are very happy with our experience and will book with them again.

Wonderful and easy to use company. Allowed us to continue with our booking after the flight delays had us land just before their closing time. Amazing and helpful staff that explained all the terms and conditions of the rental. Gave us multiple options for coverage and even offered an upgrade to help us out. Would 100% definitely use them again. (Only a couple minutes drive from the airport as a bonus)

All was great. We picked the car from Hobart and dropped that at Launceston office. We were getting bit late for the return flight and Mr. Anees in Launceston immediately dropped us to the airport. We also discussed about the trip and how the car performed during the trip. It was nice talking to him, very polite and helpful. Great Service, thanks again !!!

Took a bit of time during pickup as there were few customers ahead of me. It takes about 10-15 minutes average per customer so its recommended to add that margin if you have back to back plans.
Everything went well. Will definitely book again with them.

East Coast Car Rentals @ Launceston were efficient, timely, & professional. The vehicle assigned was clean, suited to my needs & low in kilometres. Transport from airport to car lots was fast.
Overall the service was excellent & the touring knowledge of the staff was exceptional.

We are from Melbourne hiring a car for Tasmania. We booked a car for about 12 days & the car was well suited. It's okay if you get the 'similar' alternative as the car worked out better for us. The car was clean and easy to use with a great gps system. We did have to pay $550 for a minor accident (we scratched a side wheel on a mountain barrier due to the roads being so tight), so I highly recommend purchasing insurance when you hire a car.

Review for Launceston office. Staff do try to upsell extra insurance etc which I told them we don't need, but other than that very good and professional. Photos are taken before and after and emailed with report. Recently received a free upgrade on pick up (off season) which was fabulous 👌

I rented an SUV from Launceston for 2 weeks. I’ve hired from other big name brands and was attracted to the lower price. I was a bit concerned about picking the car up on time but the customer service from the Launceston office staff was excellent. The process was also super easy and hassle free. East Coast Car Rentals provided a very prompt pick up from Launceston Airport and we were on our way in the rental car within 30 minutes of collecting our baggage.

Eat coast Launceston is the best and especially Dakota is such a beautifully presented, kind hearted and professional customer service officer. I will only use easy coast rentals when I come Tassie. Dakota is a rock star.

Great price and great service. Our flight into Launceston was delayed twice. They tracked our flight and got in touch to confirm arrival times etc. before we even had a chance to call them. The car we were given was very clean. Overall, the experience was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

We had great experience getting a car from east coast car rentals. The price was reasonable given it was a last minute booking during Christmas holidays. The desk agent Anees thoroughly explained all the fine prints and options to us, which was really helpful, given it was my first rental in Australia. Both the pickup and return processes were smooth and fast. The staff were really friendly. 10/10 highly recommended.

Easy experience with East Coast Car rentals!
The car was nice and exactly what we requested, no issues. Picking it up was easy and they gave us a quick overview of the features. Drop off & shuttle also very quick, and they double checked if I'd filled it with gas before taking it.

I booked this company because they had full excess reduction included in their price for insurance. I liked that. They also offered free transfers. The car we got was brand new, ran wonderfully and was in great condition. The personnel were friendly, helpful and efficient. We were out of there in 10 minutes. I really liked the digital existing damage report they did. Was fast and easy to observe. All in all, one of the best parts of my holiday.

We recently hired a car for 10 nights from Launceston. We received exceptional..service from all staff. Special mention for Annes..During our trip we were the victims of crime when the side window of the car was smashed and some personal items removed from the car while at Cataract George. I’ve hired many cars directly from terminal car hire places and was a little apprehensive about shuttle bus service as depot was away from airport. However, the ease and promptness of the shuttle bus service to and fro, and the friendly service made it a comfortable experience. The gentleman we dealt with, Pino, was the friendliest and we wouldn’t hesitate to hire from Eastcoast rentals again

These guys were great! The service in picking us up and delivering us to the airport was great without any undue waiting and the pick-up and drop-off of the vehicle was equally as simple. It made our trip painless and trouble free, and the car was great too!

Would recommend them for their professionalism rates and customer service. Hire cars are always in great shape and modern. The shuttle/courtesy van collects from Launceston airport and is a great bonus.

They are located just a few minutes from the airport and offer a free shuttle service (2 minutes drive only).
Pick up was easy and well organised. Great how they use an iPad, it has all photos from the car and any damages / scratches are already marked on the photos.
You sign the contract on the iPad and get a copy straight into your inbox via email with all documents and photos attached.
The car we got (Hyundai i30) was also great and reliable. It had Apple Car Play and Android as well. Connected the iPhone via Bluetooth to use GPS, music services and to make calls. No issues with the car while travelling around Tasmania.
Returning the car was the same process as pickup. They took photos again and I received an email with a copy of contract and photos. Very convenient and efficient. Good value for money. Love it!
I had insurance through my credit card and didn’t get extra insurance but they offer if you need some.
