It was so fun walking through the tunnels! At the end of the tour, we went on a boat tour around the caves. The guide was very funny! It's 9 degrees in the caves, but they provided blankets which you could borrow.

David, Amin and Lisa were fantastic. Excellent tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable and a very good sense of humour. A must see for history and WW2 fans.

The tour is pretty short but it’s an interesting place to see. The underground lake is in a series of connected caves so it wasn’t as as impressive as I expected. It didn’t feel claustrophobic at all, the entrance is the tightest spot on the tour. After the initial tunnel it all gets bigger.

The best part of the grotto was the guide. This man gave a very good presentation and greatly enlivened the tour.

Found this pretty much by accident on the day of our visit. We briefly looked at some reviews online and didn't expect a lot from the reviews. However, we really couldn't have enjoyed ourselves anymore. The guide was so funny, and spoke a little english but also had a speaker which he played a pre recorded english version with after his speech in german.

The boat ride at the end is fantastic and definitely a unique experience.

The caves themselves are fantastic (albeit a little chilly).

A very unusual place. Never seen something like this lake before. The story behind this place is fascinating. It is possible to visit Seegrotte as part of a guided tour while gliding in a boat. May be extremely interesting for younger children (our daughter was astonished).

I heard about the seegrotte 17 years ago from my friend she visited the place on her honeymoon to be honest it wasn’t up to my expectations since i visited the grotte in Lebanon 🇱🇧 its far more worth visiting. The only good thing of the seegrotte visit is the tour guide he is nice well educated and say funny remarks with respect

Very nice mine with underground lake. There is quite cold (they said us 9°C) and I would recommend to have some warmer clothes (at least hoodie). After guided tour and a boat trip you can walk freely and take photos (taking videos are forbidden for some reason).

The best experience in Austria 🇦🇹 super good tour guide
The website is not updated tho, opening hours are longer and tickets are more expensive (18 euros for adult)

Very nice. You have 1 drive with boat about 8 minutes. If you go bring some jacket in all year the temperature is 9°C. Or you can rent blenky for 0.50€. After boat drive you can stay inside how much you want.People who work there are freundly but like programired. I was drink in restaurant very expencive, 1 Coca cola 3,90€. But good experience an not far from Vienna. With train from Meidling Bahnhof bis Mödling and from Mödling with bus 364 or 365 to Seegrote Hinterbrühl about 8 station.

It's amazing to see this dark place and hear stories about the people who would build it all their lives without going outside. The cruise in the lower reservoir was magical.

Walking through the tunnels and knowing the history behind, was a great experience overall! The guided tour was great! Probably would have been just okay if it was just touring ourselves. But since the guide was kind and very informative, it was made very special. ~45 mins with 10-15 min. boat ride. Fully worth it!

We had really good time here. Appreciated the mini tour from the guide who is also the capitan of the boat. Both German and English are possible. Thank you 😊

Beautiful cave with lake. We visited it in July, but we couldn't find any information about opening hours. The window of the cash register was closed, we waited for about 40 minutes, when a man came from the cave and guided the waiting people underground. It was worth the wait, the tour was fantastic. We spent about an hour down there.

A very nice and very underrated experience, totally recommended!

Ps: ask as a tourist guide Dave (the american guy), he made the whole experience 10x better with a great sense of humor and a lot of unknown stories as easter eggs
