Hotel Alpengasthof Hochegger

A lovely hotel! We were warmly welcomed with short notice. The views here are amazing & I imagine it is even more beautiful in the winter. Food was excellent, a great stop to recharge ourselves after a long journey.

I had such an amazing ski trip at Hotel Hochegger! The hotel is ideally placed, literally next to the ski lift. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is amazing, I ate so many Austrian dishes which were really good! I highly recommend eating there in the evening or even at lunch during a ski day, the veranda with the view makes it very enjoyable. Ask also for the pinecone schnaps, they make it themselves and apparently it's good for your health.

We stayed at the hotel for winter vacation.
It was really enjoyable. The hotel rooms clean and cozy with all the equipment you need. The hotel wellness was exactly enough for relaxation and regeneration after skiing. The food was very good, we were always looking forward to go to diner and taste the variety of options. But the best think of all was the stuff. I have never visited a hotel with such a friendly stuff members, I felt just like at home with my family. They are helpful they show you around and always positive and smiling. We will be coming back for sure.

By far, the best hotel I've ever been in.
The level of hospitality, kindness, willing to help and great service made me speechless. The fact that this place is located 45 min. from Redbull Ring made it even better.

We spent a wonderful week at the Hochegger Hotel. We were hosted by the very kind and caring Hochegger family, always ready and attentive to meet our needs. Room was spacious and always very clean - towels and bed sheets changed regularly. Food was abundant and delicious. The location was superb. We had a wonderful view over the valley and the hotel was next to the lift stations to get up to the mountain peak.Our kids (3 and 4 year old) enjoyed very much the baby-club, as well as the pool and the excursion organised by the hotel. The hotel is very child friendly and staff very patient. The kids loved the alpine slide next to the hotel - included in the package- and the possibility to play bigliardino at night. We also appreciated the quality of air. We look forward to coming back during the skiing season! Thank you again for the wonderful hosting.

Great place, spotless clean, typical local (but also international) amazing food, and very generous helpings!!!. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They speak Italian, English and French, which is really useful...at least it was for us and the kids, who managed to interact with the extremely kind owners.
The nearby chairlift + toboga and nice mountain tours make this a great place for you and your kids.
TIP - book from their website (ok, it's in German, but you can use Google translate for the few non-obvious fields you have to fill in).

Hochegger is perfect alp hotel. Rooms, service, food and position of the hotel right on the ski slope and ski ropeway are perfect.

Wir waren mit kleinen Kindern 5 Tage im Gasthof Hochegger. Es war unserer erster Skiurlaub mit unseren Kindern ( 6 und 3 Jahre alt). Dafür war das Hotel perfekt geeignet, weil es direkt neben der Piste liegt, über Kinderbetreuung verfügt, gutes, abwechslungsreich Essen serviert wird und das alles zu einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Hotel selbst ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, macht aber einen gepflegten Eindruck. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, insbesondere wenn man als Familie verreist, aber ausreichend.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die ausgezeichnete Kinderbetreuung.
Unsere Kinder haben sich bei Anna sehr wohl gefühlt.

Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein.

Wir würden das Hotel definitiv weiter empfehlen und überlegen, wieder zu kommen!

Leckere Speisen zum Mittag, hatten Skiwasser, Backkartoffeln und Sauerrahm, Pommes und Kaspressuppe. Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist echt sehr gut und die Mitarbeiter trotz Stress freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Ein gemütliches familiäre geführtes Hotel welches in den Bergen Kärntens auf 1530 m Seehöhe liegt.Herrliche Aussicht auf die Berge.Die Hotelchefin Barbara eine ganz Liebe,welche uns auf den täglichen Ausflügen begleitet hat.Und uns viel Wissenswertes vermittelt hat.Wir Gäste von URB haben es genossen.Auch ein grosses Lob an die Küche und dem ganzen Personal.

In diesem Familienbetrieb haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Chefin des Hauses hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen, uns alles ausführlich gezeigt und erklärt. Die Zimmer sind zweckdienlich und hochwertig eingerichtet. Das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
Alle Mahlzeiten sind sehr gut zubereitet, geschmackvoll angerichtet und immer frisch. Die Küche verdient ebenfalls ein großes Lob.
