Good Ski resort area 1 hr train ride from Vienna central station. If you are not Sking you can still take cable car to the top for great views and pics or rent the snow sledge and enjoy

It was wonderful trip from Vienna to Simmering. It's a great place for visiting in summer and winter. I got a great pleasure to drink a cup of coffee with nice view on mountain.
Also it's a great place for extreme mountain bike ride 😃

Amazing ! The slopes were well maintained. We were not able to do skiing as there was no instructor available. But we did go up hill through cable car lift to have some coffee at the top. It was snowing so we enjoyed alot. There are some really nice hotels nearby where tourists can stay. We enjoyed our stay at Semmering.

Nice place, great for skiing , sledging , snow boarding. Restaurant at top. Be aware of your surroundings to avoid and collision as their are people skiing and snow surfing. At the top their is place for kids to play. Best time is the afternoon time slot with sun and snow.

A nice mountain place which is found mid way between Vienna and Graz. It is easily accessible by car or by train. It is white in Winter (with snow) and green in Summer. Our visit, which was by train, was intended to see some snow and we achieved this. We had some 15 minutes of walking before we reached some nice houses and also the sport centre where we used the cable car to go to a higher point. A restaurant can be found at the top of this mountain. A nice and relaxing place to be.

Many slopes to try. Rather friendly prices. You have the option of the sit-on ski lift or the cable car, but that is super crowded and you have to wait a lot through the day. That would be the buggest con. A huge plus us the long and cool sleigh trail, as well as thw fun park with jumps. Highly recommended, maybe even for the night (4pm+) skiing.

Wonderful scenery, long and easy blue piste from top of the mountain to the foot. Only problem is the technical issue of the cabin, needing to walk 10 minutes for the chair.

This is the closest slope you get from Vienna, which means that you can always go in the morning and return home in the evening. Slope quality is good and the 6 or so downhill variants offer enough variety to make it a good day of skiing. The lifts are new and everything functions without long waits. People complain about the prices...yes it might get steep if you have kids, but skiing was never cheap. I personally like it, especially since in winter you can go night skiing after work in almost empty slopes.

There are 6 slopes with a decent descend, appropriate for intermediate and better skiers, one slope more appropriate for beginners. (6 red, 1 blue)

All slopes are north-oriented, which means the snow quality doesn't worsen throughout the day. In addition, snow cannons were blowing snow the whole day I skied here, so really the snow was as good at 16:00 as it was in the morning.

There is also a unique track solely for sled - great for small kids or non-skiers. Sleds are available for rent too.

Overall the skipass price is a great value for what it offers, best value in 250km radius.

I am a longtime customer of the bike park, and i have to say it provides what is very close to the complete experience. You have trails for beginners, and advanced riders, you can rent a bike, equipment, you have road gaps, roots, steep descents, flow-y trails, lots of jumps, a ski lift. Also i recommend the radler and the burger, they really completed the experience for me. Employees are helpful, and you don't have to speak German if you need help

Perfect day trip from Vienna. It takes around an hour from Vienna city to reach the place. You can do ski, snow boarding. For people who don't do these two sports, they can do sledding. Which is a lot of fun.

Very fun place to spend your time with family and friends. We were riding on the sledges, but you can also have fun snowboarding or skiing.
Here is the home of the longest sledge track in Austria (about 3km long). There is a rental of inventory available as well as a Caffe-bar. You can enjoy some drinks and food at the bottom of the mountain as well as mid-track (there is 2 Caffe-bars.
We were here on Sunday so the place was very crowded therefore we had some trouble finding a parking space and had to wait around in a queue some time before we got our passes.
But all in all it was a great experience. Greatly recommended!

Great skiing - especially in Corona times - lots of snow, greatly prepared slopes and relatively few people, especially outside of the weekends. Pure white craziness! ❄🎿❤😎👍

An excellent place to go skiing for a day if you happen to be in Vienna in winter and have a day to dpare. Comfortable hour journey by train from Wien bahnhof, and many placed to hire equipment from. Facilities at mountain are good

Night slope is open every night. Piste is well prepared. Expensive night ticket.” Rodelbahn” is crazy. Don’t recommend ! You could go directly to emergency room !

Loved every moment spent here. Anyone who is coming to Vienna should definitely visit Semmering mountains. Its an hour drive from the main city.

For Visitors of the Bike-park, this is a Paradise one can otherwise only find in the western Mountains of Austria. I guess its the biggest and best Bike-park in the eastern Region of Austria, which is absolutely awesome.

We went there on a Sunday, it was perfect sunshiny weather. It was very hard to find a parking spot, but in the end we found one. The wait at the cliffs were not as long as expected.
