Paradies-Camping Wolfgangsee Birkenstrand

We spent two weeks camping in the "Apple Glade," a quaint little field with a tree offering shade. The camping has easy access to the lake, excellent sanitary facilities and a shop with a bakery and ice cream. It had everything we needed in a base of operations to explore the Salzburg-area. A paradise, indeed.

Fantastic site.

Reception is smart and modern with a good small shop which sells fresh bread and cakes.

Check in was very friendly and efficient.
Good size pitch with waste and water.
Electricity is extra to the pitch fee so one to watch for running fridges etc in high temperatures or heating in cold.

small beach with access to superb clean lake. Free limited number of sun beds and parasols.
Kayak for two is 4 euros an hour and very enjoyable.

Bikes for rent. The showers are top class. Very clean and modern. One of the best we have seen.

The area is beautiful with plenty of places to visit and attractions to check out.

Bus to Salzburg just down the road. About 29 Euros return for two people.

Loved our stay here and we will be back one day.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience at this campsite. Commons areas are heated up, and amazing showers and clean toilets. Also, we used the private sauna, and it was amazing. Friendly place, with stunning views of a lake and mountains. Breathtaking!

Very modern campsite with clean facilities and friendly staff. Located just outside of St. Gilgen and has its own beach next to the lake.

Great campsite, friendly staff! The cafè did nice croissants in the mornings. The beach was small but nice and water is gorgeous and clear, nice views. The toilets and showers were immaculate!
Only small down side was that it is more catered for caravans rather than tents. Lack of communal areas makes it difficult to socialise. An evening bar would be nice.

On a trip across Austria this was our favourite campsite. Quite small, very friendly. The owner seemed to appreciate me speaking German but was happy to then speak English. They were full for our second night, but told us to call in the next morning and were able to accomodate us. All the guests were really friendly. The facilities were spotless and the views from every site were stunning. I’ve seen complaints about the noise from the main road. We were in a van so didn’t notice.

Great camping at the Wolfgangsee. Everything is well organized and modern. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Bathroom facilities are clean. There's a kitchen with a fridge free of use. You can take a swim in the lake and relax on the grass right at it. There's even beachbeds to take free of use. For renting bikes I recommend going in town to radbikes. Cycling and hiking is nice to do in this area.

Reasonably priced campsite with very good facilities. Possible to rent stand-up paddling boards from reception for 1eur an hour! A bus stops right outside to take you to Salzburg or the nearby town of St Gilgen. The restaurant right outside does incredible fish and nice beer.

Really enjoyed our time here. Shower blocks are excellent, staff are very welcoming, lakeside access is great and shop is well stocked. Couldn't fault it!

Great site, great views, right on the lake which in June was warm enough to swin in, cafe had limited selection but food was good quality and value. Site staff were really nice,

it is a good place to be during hot summer days. easy find, enough space even for tents. clean bathrooms, public wifi, what more would you need？

Very nice camp by the lake with private beach. Very good service area. Helpful staff. Fresh bread in the morning.

Great camping, bathrooms nicer than in a hotel. Washing machines,shop, it has everything.
