Bilbil Vatnika Guest House PEAKS OF BALKANS

It was really nice. The daughter of the owner speaks pretty good English, and is very lovely. Near the guesthouse is a waterfall were we jumped in in the morning. Cold - but amazing.
I would recommend to stay there. And here again best wishes to the family and the future plans :)

Also gluten free options were possible!

We hadn’t had any problem in Doberdol at all, but we heard from a lot of people that they good stomach issues due to the drinking water. Beer and Softdrinks worked pretty well for us.

We slept in a hut. It was exactly what you can except from the peak of balkan : Authenticity and kindness. Daniela speaks English, mother is very nice, they warmed our water for diner. Hit shower. Incredible view. Come and enjoy. Thank you to the family.

On out stay it was pouring all day and way more guests arrived than booked. So we junped in and helped the owners cooking. If you she the infrastructures in place to serve 30 hungry hikers, the food is just as good as it can get.

Stayed at this place for a night after a hike. We booked through Facebook and received an immediate response. Upon arrival, our beds were already prepared. We were received very hospitably and had a unique experience with this family. Highly recommended.

Definitely our favorite guest house on the Peaks of the Balkan! Accommodation is very basic, but the family is the most hospitable and friendly family you can imagine. We were there in a very wet week at the beginning of July, and they lit a fire especially for us in the common room to keep us warm and to dry our shoes. Food was amazing (also very nice rakia and red wine from Marta's husband ;)) and we felt very welcome. Augustin speaks some English which was nice, he told us he and his brothers and dad build all the guesthouses themselves over the past five years. Overall it was the most authentic and warm experience during our time here.

This family run guest house is the perfect place for an overnight stay in Doberdol.
although very basic, it had offered everything we needed - a warm dinner, good food, great waterfall right outside the guest house, and heart warming hospitality

Very authentic place, with very nice hosts. They made a bonfire for us in the evening, and the mum made the most delicious food! The location is perfect, very beautiful. The house we stayed in were a bit cold, but we got plenty of blankets, so it was okay. Overall a very good experience.

The stay was excellent, very authentic, during the night without any light pollution you can see milky way in a clear sky.
The food was delicious, traditional and very tasty, prepared in traditional way.
It was only place after few days of travelling with hot water and a lot of it :).
The host was very nice, he was eager to help. He bought us chocolates because I said that we didn't had any for few days and helped me to get internet so I can contact home :)
I would go back just for the atmosphere.

We arrived here just before it started to rain and set up our tent in the garden. The girl that runs the guesthouse was very helpful funny and welcoming. Food was good and prices were cheap. After dinner they even wanted to turn on a fire for us in the garden to hang out with the other guests and watch the sunset. The next morning when we wanted to pay the mother wanted to give us our drinks from the day before free of charge (~5€). For sure we didnt accept that but it shows the hospitality of the owners.

A peaceful and friendly place. A nice family that runs the place with a lot of love and caring for the guests. The location was incredible, just over the waterfall. The food was really good. Thank you

Best place on our Peaks of the Balkans trek. Such a lovely family. Great food and warm beds. There is even a natural swimming pool with a waterfall. You can experience how shepherds live in the Albanian Alps. Absolutely amazing!

Bilbil and his Family were great hosts for us when we stayed in Doberdol during our Peaks of the Balkans Experience. We were a big group (9 people) and he managed to accomodate us without prior notice. The hut was comfy, there was warm water and the best organic food you can find. We would have loves to stay longer, because we were treated like friends. Bilbil even set up a bonfire for us at night. Definitely recommended!

I didn"t stay here overnight but met Martha and Daniela (the host family) in one Afternoon in end of September 2021. They were super friendly and kind, and I'm sure being hosted by them can be a very positive experince!

So thank you Daniela and Marth for this short lovely moment and the acomppained coffee!!

Great atmosphere and lovely people, feels like going back in time but not in a bad way. Also the food was really good, just our lunch to go was a bit small

Nice place to stay in Doberdol.
Welcoming hosts, amazing view and good comfort for this place in the mountains.

Even though it's a basic accommodation we had a wonderful stay with amazing food, a good sleep and great hospitality.

My favorite place along the "peaks of Balkan" - basic but nice huts, hot showers and really good food!

It was very beautiful. Clean beds, great hosts, good food, good fair prize! Thank you very much for the hospitality!
