Breathtaking scenery, amazing mountains, very clean and isolated. Some hiking experience is definitely required if you don't plan on hiring a guide.

A gem of Albania. If you are travelling jus because of Albanian beaches, but also for amazing nature, Valbona is a must.
It is not easy to access, but it is totally worth the trouble.

Beautiful place! Worth visiting. Albanian Alps offer serenity, peace, awe, wonder, relax.
A wonderful escape from summer heat and the craziness and noises of everyday life. Also cooking is bio and tasty!

Can any one imagine such places exist in our country? Well yes, god was generous and he gave us the sea and the mountain within a short distance. Yet we are savages and tend to destroy every beauty in the face of the earth. İ really hope the valley doesn't have that fate ( at least what's left of it)🤞

If you like mountains - Valbona valley is a great place to visit. The mountains here form the well with a high waterfall in the middle. The views are breathtaking, really worse those sweat that will go down on you while climbing) Don't forget to wear a good shoes and go out early to see more before the sunset.

Valbona is probably one of the best National Parks. It reminded me a lot of Yosemite National Park in California but on a much grander scale. The range of mountains seem to never end and everywhere you look is amazing. There's trails to hike one camping sites. Some fo the trails aren't marked as well so a guide is recommended.

The Valbona Valley National Park is a national park inside the Albanian Alps in northern Albania. The park covers a total area of 80 km2, encompassing Valbona River and its surrounding areas with mountainous terrain, alpine landscapes, glacial springs, deep depressions, various rock formations, waterfalls and the Valbona Valley with its dense coniferous and deciduous forest. It is characterized by its very remote areas which have a large preserved ecosystem all of which is primarily untouched with pristine quality. This vast pristine ecosystem is the centrepiece of what has been referred to as the Albanian Miracle of the Alps.

Absolutely stunning! Would give another 100 ⭐ if possible. I’ve been around the world and this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I hiked up from Valbone towards Theth (just to the pass, about halfway to Theth) and it was challenging, but the views were out of this world! Highly recommend!!

A bit of a hassle to get to, but so worth the visit. Did the hike from Valbona to Theth, starting early in the morning. It was well suited for pretty much anyone with a little bit of hiking experience. The views are obviously amazing! Going down is somewhat intense on the legs, but hardly any difficult parts. Most water from springs is ice cold and drinkable.

5 out of 5 for the beauty this valley had, and still has despite the damage caused to it by irresponsible local government and greedy people who wanna become millioners overnight while destroying the national park's beauty with concrete multi level buildings.
Once one of the most beautiful places in Northern Albania, the Valbona Valley is now the victim of overdevelopment, something which might turn the valley into a non-attractive place soon enough.

The local community adds a warm and welcoming touch to the park. The villagers residing in the Valbona Valley are incredibly friendly, offering traditional Albanian hospitality and sharing their rich cultural heritage. I had the pleasure of sampling delicious local cuisine, which featured organic ingredients sourced from the surrounding area.
