The private rooms are brand new & super comfortable, fantastic hot shower (even hairdryer).
The takeaway breakfast was very abundant & we even received an incredible expresso before leaving.

Traditional dinner is also offered separately.

The owners don't speak English, but they are great hosts and somehow you communicate.

We booked guesthouse Kukaj when we arrived in Valbone. The guesthouse is a little bit further from the main attractions, up the mountain but they offer free transportation to and from the main road. When we arrived, the views were breathtaking. Much prettier than the ones down in the valley. The family lives in the bottom floor and the top floor is for guest. This guesthouse offered a true glimpse of Albanian village living. The food was delicious and all traditional Albanian; a little bit pricey, but one has to take into the account the fact that this is in the Alps and not a lot of food grows here. The rooms are a good size and the beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi worked great. There are no neighbors nearby and it’s extremely peaceful. You can hike further up the mountain from here which I highly recommend. The younger children spoke some English but I speak Albanian so this was no issue for me. Overall we had a lovely stay!

Lovely family guesthouse. We stopped by on the climb to Rosti peak and had some great Turkish coffee. The view is beautiful.

We have been together with friends and we had a wonderful time there. Food wonderful, guest house is wonferful. Tahiri and his family were such great hosts.

Best place I stayed ever!!!!!! And don't believe the story from the people that say the women stole money from them! Albanian people will never ever steel from a guest. Really nice people here!!!!!

Absolutely lovely place. If you want to be even more remote outside of main Valbona, come here. The short hike up to the village rewards you with magnificent views. The owners were super nice to me (solo traveler), their food was locally produced and their wifi was superb. Clean and calm place!

Very friendly people and beautiful scenery. Make sure your car can make it on mountain roads or have them pick you up. At the bottom of the trail

Away from the populated area. On the top of mountains . The most welcoming family , traditional food , transport , too cheap , comfortable rooms . Everything perfect

Está muy alejado de Valbone, 2-3 km para arriba, El personal no es muy simpático pero tienen transporte hasta el inicio de la ruta a Theth.

El sitio es espectacular, auténtico, en mitad de la naturaleza, es sentir viajar al pasado. Florian fue muy atento y agradable. Sin embargo, las instalaciones no nos gustaron, hacia frío, colchones malos, nos cobraron cosas extra como el cafe sin avisar. Desayuno y comida muy escuetos y simplones. No repetiría

We didnt’t stay at this guesthouse but took a ride from Valbona to Feirze with Florian, were initially told that the price is 15eur per car (which fits 4 people). After arriving in Fierze (with a really old yellow van and 4 other passengers) we were told that the price is 15 per person! The driver insisted that we pay this amount. Overall including all of the other reviews I would really suggest you find someplace else as this family seems just a bunch of scammers!

L emplacement est super bien situé entre les montagnes.

Toutefois, la guesthouse n'était pas propre. Nous avions trouvé un scorpion mort dans notre chambre.

Quant au repas du soir, ils nous ont servi un du riz blanc avec une soupe très fade, le tout agrémenté de choux et ce pour 10e par personne.

Ils s'étaient initialement engagé pour nous déposer au départ de la randonnée (Valbone-Theth) et nous ont fait faux plan la veille au soir.

Manque de sérieux et de sympathie.

El sitio tiene muy buenas vistas, pero nuestra experiencia fue pésima. El lugar estaba sucio, los colchones son incómodos, los baños no tenían ni papel higiénico y nunca te dicen que el agua caliente está en un baño exterior. Además, como muchos sitios en Albania no acepta tarjeta y nuestra única opción fue pagar el taxi que el hotel ofrece hasta la población más cercana para usar el cajero (40 euros). Nos sentimos estafados porque los dueños del hostel aprovecharon que les pagamos el viaje para hacer su compra del fin de semana y algunos recados. Por cierto también nos cobraron por una cena que no pedimos porque yo me sentía mal y eso no me parece honesto. Nosotros estuvimos antes dos noches en el hostal Rossi que está alado y la diferencia es enorme. Vayan a Rossi si pueden. Esa casa de huéspedes es maravillosa.
