Hoa Ban Lalastay

The homestay is located in a peaceful village between rice fields and mountains. A few wooden houses on stilts are traditional homes of Thai minority people, lovely and comfortable. Restaurant offers traditional food, so staying here is a good experience of local life. Tour service is available.
The owner of the homestay supports local women (poor and disabled). Right in front of the homestay she built a small fabric where women are studying weaving and sewing. There is a small souvenir shop where women sell their handcrafts, you can by some to support this delightful project.

Very interesting place. A lot of decoration with traditional handicrafts and artist works. There are four small bungalows which all together look like a tiny village. There are private rooms and dorm in traditional house on stilts. Tourists can experience some workshops (cooking class, bamboo weaving, herbal foot bath, traditional games, etc.) and order different tours around the district (motorbike, car, private or group tours, 1/2day, full day).

Vin is a wonderful woman, she has an amazing homestay here at Mai Chau. The special thing about this homestay is that they have a factory with special women who makes a lot of different types of clothes, hand bags, wallets, and more. They also have workshops for weaving and embroidery. *All of the income is for the special needs woman* . The prices are really fair and this is a special experience for anyone. Highly recommend!

Ideal hideout for those ones love nature and social work.

I want to recommend an excellent HoaBan Homestay in Mai Chao. Owner of the homestay Vinh is a very charming woman. She takes care of her guests and helps them with whatever they need. You can rent a motorbike or bicycle in a fair price. When I returned from a ride in very cold weather she asked me if I was feeling well and if I needed medication or medical treatment because cold wind. A very warm woman with a lovely family. Cooks a tasty and luxurious dishes. She is like a mother of you during your stay there. In addition, vinh employees a number of women in a craft place opposite the homestay, where women sew and made bags, wallets and nice other things on their own, thus giving a livelihood to many families. This is a blessed act.

The best place to be in Mai Chau. Lovely people who does everything to make you feel at home. Possibility to rent bicycles and motorbikes. Arrange tours and big family dinners! A perfect way to get to know the culture and the locals. I fell in love with this place and now im volunteering!

Really nice atmosphere that felt like family and home. The hostess was amazing, friendly and generous and spoke good English, and told us a lot about the place and area.

Recommended to stay in Mai Chau. The host was really nice, and treated me well. They served good food plus reasonable price. More than that, they way they treat visitors is super. I have no word to say but excellent.
