The climb up is relatively hard, especially when its warm. However, the cave is really cool and quite different compared to many other caves in Vietnam, because its somewhat open so it doesn't need artificial lighting. It's not a long cave or anything but quite big. The entrance is only 20k pp. Would definitely recommend to do here in Mai Châu, even if you have little time

Be warned it’s not for the elderly unless they are very fit. The climb is quite the task but the amazing views stored at the top are worth it. And please dress minimally as it gets very sweaty.

The cave itself is very beautiful and the stone formations are very unique and beautiful. When I arrived it was empty and gave me the chills, but it was fun at the same time. Later quite several folks joined.

Highly recommended if you are in Mai Chau.

An amazing cave to visit, it is definitely worth the 25 minutes climb. The stairs are tedious and at the very beginning it is not well preserved with many rocks and broken stairs. Make sure you have enough water before starting the climb as on hot days it could be imposible to reach the top without it.
You have to pay (not to much) to enter here. Upstairs there are amazing views of the valley, and the cave itself offers amazing geological formations. Sad to see the trash abandoned in the cave, so mind your trash when going upstairs and help to keep the place as beautiful as it is.

I thought the cave was beautiful. Yes there’s a lot of stairs, be thankful someone took the time to build them. I was a bit saddened by the trash/rubbish people left, so I picked it up and brought it down. Still well worth the 20k to see the cave. It helps the locals after all. Nice view from the top!

I didn’t count but the previous reviews of 1000 steps probably aren’t wrong. Sweating buckets by time I reached the top!
Totally worth it though. Easily navigated from Main Street. For 1hr of your time it’s worth seeing 100%
Parking & Entrance 10k each. <$1 guys.

Beautiful place in Mai Chau but be ready for many steps (make sure you get breakfast before you visit). I stopped more than 10 times before I could reach the top but you can see the view it was green and lovely. The cave itself is impressive and a little bit dark but overall worth to visit!

hard, but worth to climb up 1235 steps to the entrance and some more inside.
additional pleasure: the changing view down to the valley while gaining hight.

Cool cave, definitely worth the hike up. We were charged 20,000 vnd at the trailhead. Not sure of that was legitimate or not?

Either way its a fun hike, great way to take in the surrounding countryside.

The cave is well worth the hike up the stairs! Very nice views on the way up as well. Stairs are rough in some areas so make sure you have decent foot wear.

The cave was excellent and pristine. This was a nice surprise after a pleasant bike ride The stairs made one appreciate the cave! Well worth the climb!

There are 1200 strenuous stairs up to this cave. It is so worth it. The cavern is gorgeous and there aren't too many people there, as the hike weeds out the lazy. There are nice places to sit and take in the view of the cave. There's also a short path that goes deeper into the cave. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful place and very interesting, if you are around in Mai Chau you have to visit. 1204 stairs! (I counted in my way down) but worth it.

Natural beauty. When the sun light comes inside the cave it reflects in stalagmites and stalactite. Wow, wow!
To FIND THE CAVE follow the blue sign at the main road of Mai Chau town (between motorbike rental and dress shop):
điểm du lịch
hang chiếu

Great Place. Hard to reach. Feels like in an episode of "Indiana Jones".

A bit of a hike to reach (countless uneven stairs), so remember to bring water. However, once you reach the cave, the view is quite nice. You can walk in a bit and see the massive stalagmites and stalactites in the massive entry area, and then it closes in a bit as you walk further into the cave. The hike. Up also has a number of view points which look out over the area and rice fields. Definitly not to be missed if you're in the area.

The cave sits at the top of long staircase in the hills overlooking Mai Chau. It's a climb so bring water and take it slow. You'll be rewarded with a beautiful view over the town and valley. The cave itself is fun to explore and is frequented by locals as a place to worship. It is not very deep and can be explored with a headlamp or cell phone light. I visited in November and had free entry and the cave to myself for a while. I'm glad I went.

Entrance fee 10k and a lot of steps. We went there when it was really hot and regretted it immediately. The cave on top is nice but there’s sadly a lot of trash inside. Also the view during the climb are worth it.
