Went for Dinner at Tung's Kitchen last night and...wow.
We managed to get a balcony seat. This allowed my wife and I to watch the world go by while enjoying some amazing food.

DaSyn looked after us and was very helpful and polite. He even offered to show me how to properly prepare and eat the beef in silver paper that I ordered.

We enjoyed it there so much, that we intend on returning in the next few days.

We ordered the beef wrapped in betel leaf for appetizer. Out waiter Duc cut the noodles and meats for us and kind to show us how to wrap it and eat it. The flavours all go really well together, like a party in your mouth. Highly recommend ordering this.

For the rice dishes, we ordered the honey glazed chicken and chicken with shrimp satay and lemongrass. Both were authentic and delicious. The shrimp satay was a little spicy so be mindful if you don’t like spicy foods.

This place serves one of the best Vietnamese foods in Hanoi. Great service, friendly staff, fast and fresh foods, clean. Definitely check out this restaurant if you want good authentic Vietnamese food.

Our food was delicious and the service was excellent despite being busy with a constant flow of new customers. Without a reservation we had to wait about 40 minutes, but it was well worth it. And there's plenty to do in this neighborhood to kill some time. Window shopping, real shopping or just people watching. We sat down for some tea at a little shop with sidewalk tables and the time flew by.
For our dinner we chose grilled fish in banana leaf, southern style dried noodles and
stir-fried morning glory w garlic as a veggie side. Everything is served family style to share at the table, so it's good to get some variety. The grilled fish is actually a build-your-own rice paper roll with lettuce, noodles and vegetable garnish, and a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Our server was very kind to take a few minutes to demonstrate the process. It's not difficult and I recommend it for anyone who's an adventurous diner looking for something different to try.
The dried noodles aren't really dry as the name might suggest, just served without sauce or broth. Topped with thin sliced beef and bean sprouts, you stir it up while serving and it all comes together quite pleasantly.
So, all-in-all an enjoyable dining experience, leaving us satisfied and happy to recommend Tung's Kitchen to anyone visiting Hanoi.

📍 Easy to find. This resto is located on one end of the P. Hàng Gai, one of the busiest Old Quarter streets, not far from the Ngoc Son Temple (8-10mins walking).
💲 VERY affordable for the high quality of food served.
🍛 Hands down the BEST and most authentic Vietnamese food we tried in Hanoi. We ate at different places for every meal and there truly was no comparison. Highly recommend the Beef Rolled in Wild Betel Leaf dish (6pcs). See the video I posted which shows how to prep and eat it. You can ask the staff to give you plastic gloves otherwise sanitize your hands before digging in!
💁🏻‍♂ Service was fantastic. Ask for Duc! He's so kind and helpful.
🪟 Ask to sit on the 2nd floor if you can. The view is nicer.
📶 Free WiFi with a cute password.
🚻 My only comment is I wished the restroom was cleaner (one of my pet peeves) but I survived and so will you ;) The rest of the resto was clean.

I love this place. We went here like 5 times over our stay and enjoyed it every time. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are all friendly. I don't know all the servers' names, but they're all nice. Nhat is so lovely and bright. My favourite dish is the pineapple chicken, it comes with rice and salad so it's a good-sized meal. All of the juice and smoothies are also yummy. I will miss this restaurant and come back next time I come to Hanoi. My one top pick. 🤞😘

A Perfect Spot for Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine.

We were tired and famished when stumbled upon Tung's Kitchen.. What a gem! The staff greeted us warmly and showed good knowledge about vegan and vegetarian diets, offering excellent recommendations. With a menu full of vegetarian options and the flexibility to customize non-veg dishes to our dietary needs, we were spoiled for choice. And let me tell you about their Mekong Delta Style Pancake (from non-veg menu) —it's a must-try!

For first-timers like us, the staff patiently demonstrated how to wrap and savor Vietnamese Pancakes—a truly cool experience! Bursting with flavor, it left us craving more!

And don't even get me started on their Fried Lotus— it is so fresh and crunchy, it's hard to resist! Our boys couldn't get enough of their customized Pho from the non-veg menu—they practically licked their bowls clean before we had a chance to try.

We had minced pork spring roll which is very good. The cashew nut prawn recommended by the friendly staff, Kei was yummy. Vegetarian fried rice was simple and nice, very addictive. We really enjoyed the pineapple pork soup too.

Got to this place because of all the amazing reviews and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!
Everything was amazing, from the drinks to the food!!! Everything single dish we ordered was top notch.
Maple, our server, only made our dinner better by giving an 11/10 service. From helping us pick a dish (which was not easy, I wanted to order everything) to showing us how to properly eat our food. Always with an amazing, fun and friendly attitude and a big smile.
Definitely dinning here again next time I come to Hanoi.

Tung's Kitchen was delicious! One of the best places we have eaten at during our time in Vietnam. Our server, Kitty, was super friendly and helpful. After dinner we were chatting and she even gave us a list of fun things she recommended in Hanoi (all very fun).
The food was a level above most other places. It came out super fast as was as fresh as you could ask. We had the fresh spring rolls which were lovely but the stars of the show was the Bun Cha and fried fish. Kitty showed us how to roll spring rolls with our dishes so it was an experience as well as tasty. Really recommend!

Angel, the waitress, was lovely and very helpful. She helped me find the right food with a few of my dietary needs.
The vegetarian spring rolls and the fried eggplant were delicious.
The food came super quick. I am definitely coming back.
Yes, a table for one was not an issue. There were also a few other solo travellers in the restaurant and the set up was suitable for both families, big groups as well as solo visitors.

This place was recommended by Harry @ Pine & Dine Skybar. As it was our first night in Hanoi, we didn't have any expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food, and service. Cherry was very nice and patient as she showed us how to assemble our bun cha. Food was out of the world - tasty and nicely plated. At 9 p.m., the restaurant was still packed with patrons. The fish bun cha is a must try. Price as reasonable and portion was generous.

The food is delicious and the price is decent. Jenny, the staff was really helpful in teaching us how to eat traditional food properly and she was really attentive. So far it was our best place for this Hanoi visit.

All the food we ordered were delicious. We ordered the dry noodles, Bahn Xeo, Sweet and Sour Pork, Calamari, and Pork sausage. The service of the crew was exceptional, they smile all the time and they greet you all the time. They take the time to explain the food and the proper way to eat them. Mr. Dragon is very friendly, attentive, and had a very pleasing personality.

We will definitely come back!

Update: I forgot to mention, the owner even gave us a shot of his homemade whiskey which was smooth and perfect for the cold weather.

We had a great seat overlooking the streets of Vietnam to enjoy our last night!

Service was absolutely phenomenal, spring rolls were a blast, and egg coffee was truly a desert. Appreciated the kind service of Kei, who gave us great attention even though we were just stopping by for a quick snack.

Would like to come back and try other dishes.

We chanced upon this place on Google maps and gave it a try. And turns out, the food here is heavenly, delicious and our waitress Na's service was top notch. We ordered a host of local foods including egg drop coffee, braised catfish, chicken in ginger and spring rolls. The preparation and serving was absolute perfection. Even 5 star places in Western countries pale in comparison to this place.
