Hao Tea House - Vegetarian Restaurant

The food here is delicious. I had the braised tofu and mushrooms and it was so full of flavour. Great options too for vegetarians.

This is our favorite place in Ha Giang. The host is amazing. She will help you and guide you to plan your trip. You will only find Veg food items here, which is awesome and unique thing for Vietnam. The food is super delicious. The hospitality is top-notch. The rooms are spacious and clean. The management is amazing. Highly recommended for your stay at Ha Giang. 🙌🙏

We stayed with Hao for a few nights and it was really great. She is very friendly and helps you with whatever your need. The hostel itself is still in a developing state because it's pretty new. Everything looks really nice and it's very clean. Beds are big and there is fans and AC. Hao is a good cook and the food at her restaurant is yummy, just takes a while sometimes because she is very busy handling most things herself.
It was really nice staying here, we had a great time and would recommend Hao Tea House.

Writing this review post COVID in April 22: I cannot recommend both the restaurant and hostel enough. The vegetarian food is some of the best I’ve had in Vietnam (Spring Rolls, Noodles/Rice, Vegetable Plates, Soup) and the hostel was super clean. Hao (the owner) will help you with EVERYTHING related to staying in the area and the loop. Highly recommend. 10/10 stay, especially when finding hostels and restaurants that are open post COVID is so difficult.

Very good fresh food! The owner is wonderful! She’s also knowledgeable about vegan vs vegetarian food- simply tell her you’re vegan and she’ll make sure! We loved the atmosphere here; it felts like home. It’s also a homestay and we were wishing we had stayed here.

Very good veggie restaurant! Only minus was little slow cooking and you might need to use seasonings. Otherwise nice servis, taste and veggie.

It's a real vegetarian restaurant in town. The owner is a great cook. All the food are fresh and tasty. I love the lounge area of the hostel. So cozy and lovely. Highly recommend fried noodles and mango smoothies

Beautiful tea house and restaurant in Ha Giang city but out of the main roads so you can have a rest of the noise. The vegetarian food there is very tasty and varied. The owner is very friendly and speaks english so she can give you good information about the local tea and the differnt dishes.

Tasty and good food even for a non vegetarian like me. Their menu is a nice mix of vietnamese dishes with some western addition.
The location is cozy and a bit hidden but the reward is worthy the search.
The tea blends available are good and of high quality.

The hostel is in a good location, the food is delicious and cheap. The beds in the dorms have curtains, so you will have privacy in the dorms and the beds are quite big. The staff helps with booking bus tickets and renting motorbikes.
I definitely recommend to stay here.

Worth going to Ha Giang just to meet Golden Cat, she's charming and super helpful (helped us book buses but not for commision) and she speaks fluent English. She's also a tourguide in the area so knows everything. The food here is everything you want. Cooked from scratch. I had pumpkin soup and the literally started with a pumpkin and a ginger root. No msg. No messing around. Really good proper food that tastes good and is good. Great vibe, very friendly, can charge phones etc before long bus journey. Very easy place to waste time :) thanks so much xxx

Hao will make you feel at home instantly in this lovely vegetarian restaurant/hostel and make you delicious tea. Hao speaks perfect English and loves to get to know her visitors better.

We came during Tet-holiday, leaving her as the sole person working there. We were with a group of 9 people, and she singe-handedly cooked us a delicious vegetarian dinner, Vietnamese-style.

She also booked us our busses back to Hanoi.

Highly recommended.
