Old Town Coffee Dong Van

Go on a Sunday, eat a pho and just watch the locals buy and sell clothes, pigs, cows, vegetables, herbs, fruits and everything else you can think off... most women are dressed in their finest traditional clothes. Some men too.
Also: they get drunk on rice-wine. You will see the last ones stagger off in a walk of shame around 2pm. Such a great place to soak up the atmosphere. I can't believe we were the only tourists on the market!!!

This place reminds of the palace Dinh Vua found before on the road. It has a splendid italian coffee machine producing of the best tastes in town.

Recommended place when you travel to Dong Van. Should try to stay and enjoy the different feelings in both day time and night time. The drinks are not so good but these are not what you need when you come here. You can buy some souvenir in the shops around the coffee shop

Recommend place for tourists. Local food is good. There are many home stay here.

This is an old place that you should come and experience. You can feel the fresh and strange air, and overwhelmed by the row on row high mountains. Let's come there and meet the ethnic minorities.

This cafe is quite unique, with a open roof area in the middle. The price here is reasonable, and they served tea along with my order of white coffee. I was the only customer when I went so the atmosphere was relaxing.

The market is more like a town center, with an open stage for the public and few well decorated cafes, souvenir stores located by it. Lovely place to hangout with friends, or alone, or even to work.
There are several homestays surrounding the marketplace, making it easy to access for those who stay in one of them. But, you have to understand, the real market is on Sunday morning only.

It really great walking in the night along older street then you can stops moments at the shops on the side streets to enjoy a cup coffee or drinks
You will see the ancient architecture of houses along the street it was existing long time ago

Wouldn't expect such a nice square this fad into the Ha Giang Loop. There are nice coffee bars, sports bars, restaurants and tourist shops. In the evening it is a very nice place to get a drink and relax.

Great coffee shop with beautiful architecture. Coffee and drinks are available. Beers are not however.

Visiting Chợ Phố Cổ Đồng Văn gave me a sense of privilege,not so much I was a foreigner but that I was excepted to just able to be here.To travel is an education.Without travelling I would be for ever ignorant to other cultures and their way of life.I can't seem to get Đồng Văn images form my head.Am I lucky in life to have been able to come here.
Đồng Văn Hà Giang is in the northern part of Vietnam and about 450 km north east Hanoi.My wife and I travelled here in the spring of 2015

Although the street is small, I just love the cold air of Dong Van. There are a number of cozy coffee shops there to enjoy a hot drink

Very good. Because in here have traditional food, clothes and local market. I can buy every traditional things.

Many restaurants which serve local food. Must-go place if you visit Dong Van.
In the morning you should go early if you want a place for breakfast.

A history place, very old house and has some interesting ancient decor. Great coffee and nice views of the town.
