Vegan Friendly ✅💚

I absolutely love this restaurant—it's the gem I've been searching for in Vietnam. It stands out from typical places where cooks prepare your food; here, every dish is crafted by the family running the restaurant. They serve a generous bowl of rice, accompanied by mint leaves, lime juice dipping sauce, fried tofu with tomato, and a refreshing soup as delightful side dishes. This restaurant deserves a gold medal for its excellent service, generous portions, incredible local flavors, and affordability. I'm definitely planning to return multiple times before I head to another city!!!!!

24 us dollars for 6 people and we are stuff. The food I would describe as home food. The place is small and the kitchen is even smaller but they were about to handle a full room easily. The owner was very nice and helpful if show us how to eat the food

Awesome food served in a very cozy, family like environment. William and the rest of the staff were very accomodating and showed us the best ways to eat each dish. The restaurant can be a little hard to find but was well worth the trip - best food I've had in Hanoi so far!

Wow! Went after some travellers recommended this spot and it did not disappoint. It's slightly pricey when compared to some other great spots around Hanoi, but still very worth it. You get a lot of complimentary food whilst you wait for your order that is out of this world. We ordered two mains, fried vermicelli with duck and a vegetarian dish with corn. On top we had rice, tofu in a nice sauce, soup and a salad with an unreal dressing made of lime, chili and some msg containing salt mix. Full table of food. Incredibly tasty.

The entrance seems a little dodgy, but just follow the signs.

Great place!!! You order main dishes and they bring you appetizers for free. The treated us very well and we are a lot. For sure you won’t leave this place hungry. This is vegan restaurant. Also the prices are affordable.

What an amazing experience. Great value, hospitality, authenticity, and story from the founder. It is only vegan but the food is fresh and tasty. This should be on everyone’s list when visiting Hanoi!!

Great hidden gem in Hanoi city center. The food is very typical and you will be served many free side dishes that all alone are like one entire meal. But the top-notch of this restaurant is its owner. A humble local entrepreneur who also drives a taxi-bike for a living. You can read about his story in the attached photo in this review. It is really inspiring and the friendliness with which he welcomes you will certainly be one of the highlights of your visit there.

Don't miss it during your stay in Hanoi (although the place is not easy to find..... from the street just follow the corridor and take the stairs on the left).

We found this place online when looking for vegetarian options and I can say it did not disappoint. We ordered the Vegan Chicken with vegetables and boiled vegan sausage with a side of fried spring rolls. All 3 dishes were incredible but what made this meal special was the additional dishes that are shared as a gesture and the effort that all of the staff put in to ensure you get the full experience. We even had the owner feed us as an example which just shows the level of effort we are trying to explain. Only one of us is actually vegetarian but will be going back to this place tomorrow as it was that good. Just persist down the alley and I promise this will exceed all expectations.

When you order an item you actually get that item PLUS a set menu. I ordered the papaya salad which was wonderful, and the fried spring rolls, also very good. Along with that came braised tofu, salad and rice with a lime chili sauce that was very tasty! They then brought an herbal soup that was light and delicious. I highly recommend you try this place out. It seems sketchy going up the stairs down an alley but it’s part of the fun! The restaurant is vegan friendly.

We came to this restaurant twice during our stay in Hanoi. Food is excellent, we have ordered the fried spring rolls(you can have 3 or 6 and they are huge) and the duck in sour sauce… but we also had rice,3 portions of tofu(delicious) and a soupe.
I could hardly breath after all this tasty food.
Prices are more than affordable.
The owner is a hard worker and he makes everything to show you the real Vietnamese food.
I highly recommend this restaurant!

What a delight! Such a friendly and welcoming family run business whose passion for customer satisfaction knows no bounds.

It's a little hard to spot from the road because there's just a small sign out front. You'd go through a small alleyway and up a staircase which opens up into a common room with a well-run kitchen immediately to the right.

The menu is abundant for both vegan and non vegan patrons. Don't get too excited and order too much as we did because they also offer a braised tofu in tomato based dish with steamed jasmine rice and a big bowl of fresh herbs on the house. It was so delicious but we definitely over ordered.

Additionally, we ordered the vegan spring rolls, sauteed green beans, the vegan pepper chicken and full duck and veggies dish to share amongst three.

To top it off, they brought out a bowl of veggie soup. Man, they really do take a full belly and happy faces to a new level.

While there were more non locals dining here tonight, I can't imagine locals not loving the flavors and vegan innovation. The vibe was very respectful and calm while supportive and fun.

Highly recommend you making this a stop for dinner. Our meal cost 345k and was 100x better than Duong which was Michelin admitted this past year.

And if the food and service wasn't enough, the social enterprise ambition of Mr William is purely admirable and truly achievable given the kindness of his spirit and soul.

10/10

This is probably one of the best places I’ve eaten in Vietnam. Simple, fresh, home-styled food that’s vegan friendly and delicious. Their service was great - taught us how to eat the food correctly, offered generous portions, and loved learning more about William’s story. Would really recommend supporting this small business. This review is genuine as well, they didn’t ask us to give them a 5 star review like many other places have.

Will be eating there again and again during my stay here.

Food is delicious! It’s an authentic family runned business and they make the food with love. The portions are generous and they always offer refills if you want and you get a free soup. There is vegetarian, vegan and meat options. We also learned about the personal story of the owner who struggled a lot in life but now has a successful restaurant. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming, feels like getting invited into a home and eating home cooked meals. We came back several times, definitely recommend it!

Cute little restaurant hold by William, very kind. The food was great, very tasty and super affordable. They also offered us some local dishes to try. I really recommend this place if you want to discover true & local viet food!

Such a cute family run, humble restaurant. Like you are eating in a family home.
We had the beef and papaya salad (this wasn’t great, you can find better elsewhere) and the beef soup with salad and noodles (this is their signature dish). The table next to us also had the spring rolls and the chicken stir fried dish and liked both.
I am giving this a 5 because of the authenticity and because they gave us a meal we hadn’t been offered anywhere else before.
Hint: come hungry as portions are very generous!!! He also showed us exactly how to dish in and eat the meal provided which I thought was a kind gesture (or he was just tried of seeing foreigners destroy the dish 😂)
At the end of the meal he gives you his life story to read, which I think should happen in the beginning to be honest. I think if you are looking for something authentic you won’t be disappointed here.

WOW! Literally just wow. Not only was it the best food we’ve had so far in Vietnam, but amazing service too! They teach you how to eat it so you’re eating everything correctly. Everyone is incredibly welcoming. The portions are HUGE. I’m serious.. they’re massive. 1 entree and 1 main could feed 3 people. Vegan and vegetarian separate menu too. All family run. Super quaint. The owner has a beautiful story of rising out of poverty and going on to help local impoverished Vietnamese children.. brought me to tears, couldn’t recommend this place more!!! (For note- the pic below is JUST our one main, after we finished starter... value for money is amazing)

Place with tasty, home made food, the best we had in Hanoi! 13 euros for 2 people and we had 2 dishes each! The owner is a very kind person and showed us how to eat the food properly. On top of that he supports kids in need with the money he makes in the restaurant. Highly recommended!

It is a small place thus best to avoid peak dining time. My family enjoyed our first meal here. We almost missed it as it is not in a conspicuous location. It is on the 2nd floor, a spot tucked away in an alley. Do refer to the photo shared here to see the look of the spot.
Run by a humble man who shared his story of how he had persevered and diligently worked his way to own this small eatery (through a printed copy). Please come to support him and the employees.

What a brilliant restaurant! Not only is the food delicious but the owner is so passionate about his restaurant. They have a full vegan menu, and every dish we tried was delicious, even for my Vietnamese friend who doesn't usually eat vegan food. And even better, for free you get a tofu dish, a salad and a digestive soup! Can't recommend highly enough, for 6 plates we paid 250k, a fantastic price for a delicious dinner!
Ps the alley may look a little dodgy or hard to find but it is totally fine, just follow the signage!
