Really recommend this place to all of my Vietnamese and foreign friends. Good coffee, cozy atmosphere, lots of books to read, and the staff are super cute and friendly. Whether you want to hangout with friends, or want a quiet place for reading and working, this coffee shop is just for you.

I went to Gao Cafe once and was quite impressed with the drinks at Gao. Although the space is a bit small, it will ensure a sufficient number of customers and still create a quiet relaxing space for customers. Recommend to order the combo of May cafe and fresh banana cake at Gao.

I always go to GAO Cafe every time I go to Hoan Kiem district. For me GAO is a must-stop place, not only the delicious drinks (you must try Mây ☁!!!), but the view, the staff and the atmosphere. GAO Cafe make me feel like I'm home.

The signature coffee is really nice, its the first in the menu, Moy, costs 40k dong. I like the unique aroma in between viet coffee and cappuccino. I would go back to have another one. It's quite addictive.

Amazing coffee! Go in for the real Vietnamese coffee experience. Highly recommend the egg and coconut coffee. I was the only tourist inside, so you’ll know this place is the real deal. Place is super clean and staff is friendly.

A nice and quite place to enjoy your private time or just simple to have a seat and take a sip of coffee after a sightseeing walk around Hanoi Old Quarter.
Its Coconut coffee & Egg coffee are delicious. You should try their daily fresh Banana bread also.
This place is a great combination of light snacks, tasty drinks, lovely atmosphere... and friendly handsome owner. :-P

I stumbled upon this lovely cafe shop on a Wednesday morning. It was small, but vibrant with a canopy of pink paperflower bringing colors and lights to the place. The cafe itself has a great, cozy atmosphere, nice playlist and is perfect for a morning read. I ordered 'gao tea' and it was delicious. The signature coffee ‘May’ was delightful too. Anh, the barista, who is also a baker, was in the middle of preparing for her next banana cake batch. I couldn’t resist the smell so I also ordered a slide of and I must say that it was one of the best banana cakes I’ve tried. Can’t wait to visit the place again soon!

The Best coffee in Hanoi!
Lovely stuff, speak English and so nice.
The cappuccino (hot/ice), is cheap and high quality.
See you soon!

The price is perfect for Hanoi, not too expensive, not too cheap. The latte was good and it came in quite the cup !

There is no space to work, the tables are too low to do any journaling either. That doesn't take away any star, as this is really a coffee shop to come and see people walk by, read a book or chat with friends.

They also have other miscellanious items on sale, such as postcards and coffee bracelets.

Some baristas speak English. They are friendly enough, although it varies from person to person of course. One of them helped me by speaking to my grab driver.

This was our favourite coffee on Hanoi. We drink our coffee black and their cold brew had a unique but delicious flavour and was beautifully presented.

This cafe is very cute, well designed & has such good vibes. The staff were incredibly kind also!! I came here around noon on a Saturday and it was a perfect spot to grab a coffee, get some WiFi and chill for a little bit. Very calming place. I’ve never even written a google review before and this cafe inspired me to 😊
