Ha Giang Lotus Hostel and Tours

This place is amazing! We stayed at this hostel for one night before doing the Hi Giang Loop through the hostel as well and everything from start to finish was amazing! We arrived early hours of the morning and they had a private room ready for us and the beds were the comfiest we’d stayed in so far. We then did the loop through Lotus hostels and it couldn’t have been more amazing. The views, the home stays, and most importantly the tour leader Nam! He made the trip so special and so entertaining, we miss him so much and wish we could do it all over again! Special shout out to my driver too, I felt so safe the whole time! Overall, so glad we went with Lotus as the group size was perfect, they didn’t cram too many people onto one tour so it meant you were able to just enjoy as a group. Thank you Lotus Hostels for the best experience.

We did the Ha Giang Loop with Lotus Hostel in late Feb and it was the best decision ever. Lotus Hostel itself was extremely comfortable, friendly and clean.
We did the 4 day tour and could have stayed longer, every night was fun and the food at the home-stays was delicious. Lotus Hotels don’t over pack their tours like some other guides such as Jasmine and mamas, so you get more time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Our tour guide, Nam, was brilliant and the tour wouldn’t have been the same without him. He was the life and soul and made us laugh constantly. Being from Ha Giang he also knew all the best view points and how to avoid the crowds!!

The Ha Giang Loop tour with Lotus Hostel was absolutely fantastic!! I joined the easy-rider tour directly booked with the hostel. My group is relatively small - about 15 people with a mix of riding themselves and easy-riders. It was well organized, the rooms were comfortable, food was authentic and delicious.

The three magical days of going through the magnificent landscape on the back of a motorbike, coming across sunshine, sunset, misty mountains, humid and dusty roads and clear blue sky, sharing Vietnamese techno music with my driver, eating and sleeping together with my group of fellow travellers is beyond my word can express.

I highly recommend Lotus Hostel and its Ha Giang Loop tour.

Lotus Hostel in Ha Giang will make you feel right at home. Really friendly staff to talk and converse with, also extremely helpful for whatever you may need. The tour through the loop was also fantastic. Booked an easy rider with Son as one of the drivers- he was the best tour guide and made our 3 day experience a very memorable one! Thank you Lotus for everything!

The included breakfast is excellent, especially before heading out to do the loop.

And the bar a few doors down is a hidden gem, with a swimming pool and free pool table.

Overall a good hostel and loop tour.
Hotel: Stayed in a private room. The rooms are really big, comfortable bed, and clean bathrooms. Breakfast only tried omelette and pancakes and they were pretty tasteless. Bar and pool area is cool but in a different building, we haven't seen people there.
Tour: small group (7 people) which for us was perfect (If you are looking for party groups with +20 riders book with the most know hostels). Being in a group with all easy riders we took smaller alternative routes which were really disserted and special. Our guide Tony was great, also telling us a lot of stuff in our stops. All the drivers were good and drove consciously, everyone felt really safe. The food was good, variety also for vegetarians, and of course you close every night with happy water and karaoke.

I had one of the best times here. The Ha Giang Loop Tour was incredible and will be something I’ll never forget. Especially with our Tour Guide Quân. He made sure our group had a good time. Also the rest of the hostel staff was so nice. I am traveling solo and always felt welcomed at this place.

I had a private room at the second floor which was really big, bright and clean. I would definitely come back here.

I stayed for one night after the loop and they helped me a lot. I forgot a small bag in a hotel in the middle of the loop, they picked it up in another place, put it into a bus and send it to me in Hanoi. Everything arrived perfectly. I’m really thankful.
The accommodation is really good as well, the room is big, hot shower, restaurant and bar.

Arrived at Lotus Hostel after another accomodation in town overbooked and left us stranded. The staff instantly made us feel at home, showed us rooms that were available and let us know all the amenities. We booked a motorbike for four days without an easy rider, it was an easy process. Only 170,000 dong per day for a semi-automatic bike, plus a deposit of an ID card. Helmets and bag storage are provided free of charge. Highly recommended!

Had a great time doing the Ha Giang Loop! Small group, good accommodation and excellent value for money (cheaper than the big well known tours). We did private rooms and they were all excellent. Our guide Tony had great English and was very informative about the areas and made sure everyone was having fun. The average age is mid to late 20’s, highly recommend if that’s what you’re looking for. Our group was still very social and we got loads of free happy water! We arranged our tour via WhatsApp with the owner of the hostel and she was super helpful and also booked our bus to cat ba after the tour.

I had an amazing experience doing the Hà Giang loop with Lotus! Everything was so well organized and the group was not too big (15 people). The tourguide Tony did a great job and the easy-riders made me feel very safe. Can definitely recommend doing the loop with Lotus.

Great hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. The Ha Giang loop tour is very well organised. The rooms are clean, everything is included, they are flexible and will do everything to make you happy and have a pleasant stay. They are really trying to make a good atmosphere with the group, I think they succeeded very well. It was a pleasant tour to go with them to the ha giang loop also the easy riders are amazing and made me feel very safe on the road. After the tour you can get a shower and they help you going to your next location. Very good experience!

Hotel was great and staff was super sweet and helpful.
Booked a 3 day 2 night ha giang tour with the hostel and it was by far the cheapest price. The group was a good size and much smaller than most other operations we saw on the loop.
The tour had good food great homestays and the riders were all friendly and helpful. Motorbike was in great condition.

We did a 3 day 2 night tour with lotus and loved it. The drivers are amazing and so attentive. It was well run and we felt safe throughout. There was a lot of food provided for all 3 meals a day and they stopped alot for toilet/coffee breaks.
The hostel is good for a start to the trip and the service and breakfast is good. It is also super cheap.
I would highly recommend doing the ha giang loop as we have never seen views like it. Lotus is a great pick to do it with!

We loved our stay here. The staff was extremely enthusiastic and you could see that they are very passionate. They arranged a bus to Sapa for us for the same price as any other hostel in the area.

The only negative thing I can say is that the towels were a little dirty.

Couldn't recommend Lotus for the Ha Giang loop tour more. We did the 4 days 3 nights tour and it was the highlight of our Vietnam trip. All the staff in the hostel and all the easy riders were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a small group of 8 which was great. There was plenty of stops along the way and other activities outside just being on the bike. The homestays were very comfortable and the food was lovely. Special shoutout to my easy rider Quan who made the trip as fun as possible. Definately book if you are considering you won't regret it.
