Nhà cổ Ông Kiệt

One of the oldest households in the country remaining(?). I don't recall the story behind it, but it's now a restaurant with high-quality traditional Vietnamese food.

First time trying elephant ear fish. The scales kind of curled up due to the grilling, so it might look a little weird, but it tasted good - interesting presentation. You're supposed to wrap up chunks of meat into a spring roll (they demonstrated one - I should have taken a photo, but I didn't), but we mostly ate it as is. We tried several dishes. Everything was good, except I personally didn't care for the mixed sausages plate. The fried spring roll plate had deep-fried pumpkin flowers - those were good.

My friend had paid, I'm guessing it's fair price but not a cheap (for Vietnam) meal.

As a local guide, i recommend you go this place to see the Mr Kiet Ancient House, a typical of Southern Architect House during 19-20th century, btw you can have the lunch inside that home with local Mekong delta food cooked by Vietnamese Local Women

Such a lovely place. We felt very comfortable and the food was amazing. We had a delicious meal with very special food like the fried Elephant Ear Fish. The pork meat was so soft and tasty.

A little piece of heaven!

Had a really fun trip here. Me and my some students from my school took a trip here from the United States and I have to say it was one of the most exciting and interesting places I saw in Vietnam. Would recommend to any tourist, especially if you can get there from the river on a boat tour.

The house is cool, and the gardens are interesting. You'll get to see a wide range of the plants and produce from the area.
