Hang Dau Water Tank

Beautiful piece if architecture in the middle of the old quarter. Great place to take some photos and relax. There is a nice park right next to the water tower that often has something going on.

A French-era water tank, one of the French remnants here in Ha Noi.
For ainited time, they have it open to go inside, it was nice.

Not much to see but interesting history and architectural style.

This water tank was built by the French to supply water to Hanoi city. Nowadays, it remains idle, and becomes a tourist attraction. Many people visit this place to take photos as it looks really beautiful, especially in the autumn.

This is a famous historical place in Hoan Kiem district. It has been remodeled and preserved to become a check-in place for tourists and even young people to visit Hanoi Capital.

Beautiful to see the women dancing at night and just the whole glow of the atmosor.

Beautiful water tank tower near the old Hanoi quarter. Beautiful architecture and eye catching. Seems old construction but not sure. It's near the Hang Dau Garden and lots of Cafe and restaurants around the water tank. Easy to locate it and take some photos, won't regret it to stop for a while and take pictures. Thank you. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

As vegetarian people, we found this place very nice. The food is perfect and you have a lot of choices. And the view on the rail is super!

This water tower was built in 1894, before Long Bien Bridge, and is located at the crossroads of Hang Than, Hang Luoc, Hang Giay, Hang Dau, Quan Thanh and Phan Dinh Phung streets.
This water tower was the first work marking the transformation of Hanoi into an urban center. Previously, Hanoians used well water or water from lakes and ponds.
This water tower has become a special landmark in Hanoi, just like Hoan Kiem Lake or the Old Quarter. During the wars, the tower was not hit, but in the 1960s, it stopped working.
For years, the tower was surrounded by many stalls, but in 2003, these stalls were closed. The ancient water tower stood in its original form until early April 2010, when the tower was refurbished.

Under normal circumstances a water tank, regardless of size, just doesn't attract anyone's attention. But when you see this one, you realize that people 100 years ago certainly believed in making an otherwise mundane thing look incredibly stylish!

One of the first two public water tanks built in Hanoi by the French in 1894. Was in use until 1960s when the new water plant built in Yen Phu. Still very much intact, but unforrtunately not open to public

A good landmark for anyone want to go around, very easy to find. There also is a very good motorbike rental store here.

If you research about story, it would be great otherwise it's simple a huge water tank made by cement
