Cheers Bar Hanoi

Was walkin around my hotel area and stumbled through here on my first night in Vietnam. Draft beer and bottles were reasonably priced. I stopped by again on my last night in Hanoi and the the bartender spoke English and we chatted it up a bit.

If you get hungry, they will order you food from the neighboring restaurant. There's also a cat that lives in the abandoned house in the back. The owner and the other bartender also brought in their pets both nights I visited.

It was a friendly bar, and I noticed there were several expats both times. If you like divey, low-lighting, and chill atmosphere this just might be the stop.

Great drink selection at super reasonable prices & fun owner / bar staff - you won’t drink alone. The type of honourable dive you would expect a place called Cheers to be.

The first time I sat here, I liked the feeling of the Cheers Bar’s bringing, relaxing but not too boring. The wine so good. When I sat here I felt like in my favorite movie “how I met your mother”

A small bar but a great place for people to laugh, take the mickey and talk about things on your mind. In other words a speak easy bar. A place of comfort that I enjoyed. The lady owner has a smile you can't beat, a sense of humour and makes a mean margarita.

Awesome new place. Cozy but crowded, good selection, central but away from the mess of Old Quarter. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Great local bar and really good prices. The owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Start here or finish here you’re guaranteed to have a good night.

Watched World Cup and it would have only been better in Qatar. ( but no beer there!) Aussie to my right and Frenchman to my left. In a balcony watching on a big screen they set up in the street!

friendly little pub just at the north end of bia hoi street. a little more "civilized" when you grow tired of sitting on plastic baby chairs and drinking 3% bia hoi with plastered tourists. the staff and owners are super nice. the patrons are good company too. i like cheers

Jessica runs a super pub and makes the best margaritas in Hanoi.
