Mrs Đựng’s Homestay

We stayed with Mrs Dung before our Ha Giang Trip (booked with YesD responsible tours - also 100% recommend) and had a great and very authentic experience. Mrs Dung and her whole family are absolutely lovely, she is an absolute sweetheart and cooks AMAZING. Best food we had in Vietnam. Totally recommend!

Sweetest lady you will find! We went over to her place to experience some cultural activities like weaving and harvesting sticky rice from the field. I really appreciate how Mrs Dung is so dexterous, welcoming and hardworking. She could communicate with us in basic english. Call her Ba, which is grandma in viet! Love her so much!

Me and my partner were hosted by Mrs. Dung for almost 3 weeks.
We were so well taken care of. She is very attentive and lovely, normally trying to strike up a conversation. She's making a great effort to learn english and is happy to get guests and practice.
The meals were great and always plentiful. The rest of the family was also super nice and lovely at all times.

Ms Dung hosted me for two nights prior to starting the Ha Giang loop and for dinner after we completed the loop.

As others have noted Ms Dung is very attentive and welcoming. Ms Dung made sure we had plenty to eat and made great conversation through google translate.

Mrs. Dung and her family were lovely hosts. The meals were delicious and plentiful. She is trying to learn English and is enthusiastic about using google translate.

Expect a very rural farm lifestyle with gorgeous views.

Mrs Dung is such a lovely lady! After a nice breakfast I was ready to leave and walk to the bus pickup location myself. But she insisted to carry my bag on her bike and walk me there. She then waited with me for the bus to arrive.

Of course the bus was late, so she called the bus driver multiple times to yell at him and even borrowed a chair from someone so I had a place to sit while waiting.
