Northernmost Point of Vietnam

Skip the flag pole, this is such a better experience; the view is one of the best on the entire Ha Giang Loop. Take the road to Xeo Lung on Maps, don't type in Northernmost point of Vietnam as it won't bring you to the right place.

Skip the flag and go here instead if you want to avoid all the big tours. The views of the cliffs and the valley are breathtaking on the way there and you can clearly see the border with all its checkpoints while also being at the Northernmost point of Vietnam.
For some reason the directions weren’t properly working as we were getting closer to the border. It wasn’t too much of an issue tho, we just asked the locals and then followed the signs.

But if you navigate there by Google maps it will send you up some dirt road which will not actually get you to the viewpoint.

We travel there via motorcycles. Ha Giang motorcycle loop tour. We got to look into China from Vietnam. Vast landscapes and idyllic sharp rolling hills are all around. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely must visit. Road is kinda hard and google may show a wrong way. You should turn left before the Flag point, and go by the road around. Not that, which google show you

Was great getting this close to the border. There’s a little bit of off-road before you reach the village with the road going to the point but nothing too crazy

Definitely worthwhile. Take Lung Coc road until you hit a side road to get here. There's signs along the way. Note that the initial entrance road is super rocky but then evens out to pavement for when you're approaching the border. The drive is both narrow and steep so take your time.

The views are incredible, and seeing Vietnam on one side and China on the other is a very memorable experience. The actual northern most point has a nice path up to it with a two-story gazebo.

If you have a scooter or bike with good brakes and suspension that can handle a few bumps, I'd go here and skip the flag. No tour buses can access this. There is a toilet there and an awesome view of the Chinese border. Google map directions are broken but Openstreetmaps is correct (Maps.me).

So much easier to get here than vefore. Road is wide enogh for 22 seat busses.

North Pole of Vietnam! The air is freaking fresh and speechless view!
Should ask locals the way to avoid going lost since there is no sign on the way there!

Great views, not touristy, we watched the sunset, very romantic.

Defenitly more impressive than the flag pole if you are in a hurry and should have to make a decision.

Directions on Google Maps are incorrect (2023 May), and the actual route is via the entry point to Lo Lo village.

The views are absolutely stunning, and you can see the Chinese borders from the view point.

The place looks almost unvisited by anybody else, and I had a quite serene time there with all the panoroma views.
