Hong Hao Hostel and Motorbikes

I did a 4 day trip for the ha giang loop.
It was an incredible experience I will never forget. We visited amazing view points and also did other stuff than motorbiking like a boat drive at the river, visiting a cave or a small weaving manufacturer. Also the locations for stay overs and the food was very good
But the best part were the nice easy riders led by Mr „red pen“. Thanks to them we had pretty nice days plus pretty funny evenings.
It drove by myself and would recommend this but I was the only one in my group to do so. But it is definitely more comfortable than sitting in the back. Also driving in the group is safe anyway. Don’t forget your international driving license.

We booked the 1 night prior to our bike loop - not easy rider, but solo. The room was mediocre but very cheap so have 5 star due to what we paid for. The service too was okay on arrival, again for the price. Water was cold, food meh and we really had to push (a lot) to get the bike hire process going. I guess the priority was on the easy riders.

Once we got our bike, very easy sailing. The hikes were great. Powerful and smooth. Had no issues at all. No tire, slide, gear, or stalling issues. Very happy.

This place on return trip, was exceptional - we got a hot shower, towel and kittens leaving a very positive taste for ha Giang.

Overall a good business for mass tourists, would recommend for the any rider experience based on the transaction process and price. Great quality bikes and good location to start!

I stayed 2 nights in their hostel which i gotta say, it’s the best hostel I’ve ever been to (been traveling the last 4 years around the world). Also I did the Ha Giang Loop tour with them and it was just perfect. We visited different spots and viewpoints, most of them breathtaking. We had a lot of fun with the drivers, they are super friendly and kind. Meals were very tasty and the accommodation were great, every night different places and each of them was clean, cozy with warm showers. The last one even had an infinity pool. The whole trip was an amazing experience. Best tour I’ve done in Asia after 10 months traveling. So totally recommended.

The hostel offers comfortable big beds in dorms. They are all provided with a good curtain and the bed itself is really stable. Breakfast is tasty and some options are available. The hostel also offers tours for Ha Giang Loop, which we took part in. Very nice and recommended! Prices also in line with the surrounding facilities. Close to the hostel, you can find lots of locations for food and drinks.

Best experience ! We had an incredible time on the Ha Giang Loop. The organization was great, we had private rooms in the hostel on the loop, the drivers were so careful and safe. Everything was perfect, thank you for this wonderful experience.

We did the ha GIANG loop tour with hong hao hostel and it was the best experience ever!! Linh was the best guide and really went the extra mile to make the trip perfect for us. he made sure we got the best pictures and the best views. the easy riders were wonderful and so good at driving! they were careful and made sure we were comfortable. the homestays were great and we even got our own private room!!
the tour was small and intimate and we really bonded with the group and drivers. cannot recommend this enough

Great way to do the Ha Giang Loop! The weather was incredible, so obviously check that first.

Relatively small groups compared to other tours which makes a difference!

We booked the Ha Giang Loop tour in Hanoi with a booking office. We came to Ha Giang by night bus and arrived at 4:30 am in the hostel. We could check-in immediately and slept in a dorm room with double beds. The next morning we had breakfast and started the tour in a group of six. Each of us with an easy rider. We had a great time, our guide Vang was very friendly, spoke enough English to communicate with us about the tour, viewpoints, hotels etc. also the other riders were very friendly, helpful and courteous. All in all a great experience despite bad weather.

We did the 4D/3N loop with Hong Hao. We arrived at 5am on a night bus and they put us straight into their fabulous dorm. Double bed, curtain, charging ports, good AC - the best hostel dorm I have ever seen.

The loop experience was fantastic. We had a group of about 14, and for the 4th day just 6 people. We developed a great bond in the group and it was a lot of fun. Lots of happy water and Karaoke at night helped with this! Although this was totally optional and you could still get to bed early if you wanted. The guides and drivers looked after us so well, especially since my boyfriend and I chose to share one bike although neither of us are very experienced drivers. They made sure we were safe and helped us to avoid checkpoints ;) overall an excellent experience.

Booked the Ha Giang Loop with these guys. Everything went well. What I really appreciated is how they will help you book your outgoing bus (I was headed to Sapa, friends were headed to Hanoi) and you just need to wait in their lounge area until they call you.

What an absolutely amazing experience. What made this trip so worth it is how the easy riders went above and beyond to make sure that we maximised every single moment of the trip from when we were riding to when we stopped and when the day ended.

The easy riders would encourage engagement within the group through different small games during stops, drinking games during dinner or even karaoke after dinner. These activities really did connect our group and made the experience that much more pleasant.

Besides the easy riders, the whole trip in total was completely amazing with beautiful landscapes, Springs/waterfalls, rich historical landmarks and not forgetting the photogenic view to look back to.

If you are looking for a great adventure story and out-of-this-world loop experience. I highly recommend them without any hesitation.

Fantastic little hostel which provided a tasty breakfast.

We hired bikes to do the loop and Thuy made it very easy and explained everything clearly. She was also very accommodating by giving us a refund of one day on the bike hire because we finished a day early.

After we returned the bikes, we were able to take a shower before starting the drive back to Hanoi.

I recommend doing the Ha Gian Tour with “Happy”. Cant judge the hostel itself, since we stayed there only for a couple of hours and had breakfast and a shower there. The bathrooms are sadly not super clean, but its manageable. I recommend doing the Ha Gian Loop from this Hostel. We did a 4 day tour and genuinely had the best experience, our tour leader “ Happy” and the easy riders were the sweetest people ever. I appreciated that we were a small group - 7 people, Happy was open also to suggestions such as taking us to a river to swim to cool down from the hot weather. The organization is really good, they provide you with water for the day, as well as a rain coat. Would have wished that day number 3 would have included a bit more since we arrived at the home stay quite early. But all in all I am so grateful that we did the tour with Happy, because he was the one that connected the group with each other as well. We had a lot of fun in the evenings too. He even filmed us and in the end sent us the edited video. Definitely one of the highlights we did in Vietnam.

The views were breathtaking and the entire trip was fantastic from start to finish. I didnt know what to expect and it exceeded any expectation I could have had! ⛰
I went solo but from the very beginning I wasn't alone. An amazing group of both customers and drivers ✨
Kevin was a hero 🦸‍♂ he made the trip unforgettable and bought us all together with Karaoke and lots & lots of Happy Water 🥴 I would recommend Kevin as a group leader to anyone, he was so happy and friendly. We love Kevin ❤
My rider was Thang and I couldn't have asked for better, he made me feel very safe with his driving, he was a great photographer, very sweet and always made sure I was okay and he had a different bike with 2 sets of pegs so I could stay comfortable for longer! 🏍
The food was delicious and the accommodations were nice and pleasant.

We booked the 3D2N Ha Giang Loop at Hong Hao. The experience we had was beyond amazing!! Absolutely a must go. The easy riders were the best guides ever. We felt really safe and they always wanted make sure that we had the best time ever. Special shout out to Tom, Ly and Tién! You guys rock! Keep up the good work!!

Our 4D3N Ha Giang Loop with this company was a great experience I would recommend to anyone. We usually prefer to avoid organised tours like this but our group and the easy driveres easily clicked together which made the whole loop even more enjoyable as it felt like being on a roadtrip with friends.
The accommodation all 3 nights was of a very good standard, we always had our own private room and on the last night there was a pool at our homestay in Du Gia. As for food, breakfast, lunch and dinner were always catered for. For vegetarians there was almost always rice, tofu in tomato sauce, amazing meatless springs rolls, omelette and vegetables.
Our tour guides spoke quite good English and kept us entertained not only on the road, but also in the evening when they took us to karaoke and taught us how to drink happy water. Once again, many thanks to Hong Hao for this unforgettable experience!

Would absolutely recommend Hong Hao hostel and motorbike tour to anyone. I did the 3D2N tour in September and I can’t rate this highly enough. Our tour was made up of 10 people + easyriders and was incredible value for money. The rides were experienced and safe, with lovely personalities and a great sense of humour. The tour included amazing sites, a boat cruise, swimming in a waterfall and two nights stay at lovely home stays. Food was yum and rice wine was provided in the evenings.

The tour was very well organised and I didn’t feel rushed. It would have been nice to hear more about the sites and history, as our guides did not speak a huge amount of English it was difficult to understand this, however the trip was incredible regardless.

Big shout out to our leader Dat, he made the trip unforgettable. And special mention to Trang and Happy who were also great and a lot of fun!

I did the Hong Hao Ha Giang loop tour. It is the best travel experience I’ve ever had! Linh was an amazing guide, so helpful and friendly taking such good care if our group! All of the places we stayed were really nice, especially the homestay which was a little paradise. All the easy riders were SO nice and we really bonded. I can’t recommend this enough!
