Ha Giang Riverside Hostel

Binh was extremely helpful and accommodating, from helping me rent a bike (thankfully did not end up riding in Ha Giang, I am not skilled enough), finding an easy rider, and allowing me to rest in the hostel while I waited for my evening bus. He and his family and staff were also very helpful and kind in serving me lunch and dinner, I really appreciated their hospitality and would recommend this place if I am ever back in Ha Giang!

Motor bike rate was good, like 75k for 3d2n, easy rider rate was like 4.5m/3d2n including lodging, food, petrol, etc.

As for the comments about the cleanliness, it was fine with me. There were a couple bugs here and there but no mosquitoes. I thought it was pretty well kept and neat, definitely a good place to just crash for a night or two!

I rent my motorbike here for do the loop and everything was good, Ted was really nice he help us with everything and gave us good advices for the road we also shared family dinner and happy water. We could leave our luggages in the hostel and pick up later, also the hostel is well located and the bus stop just in front. Thanks Ted and Bin.

On my return they offered me a shower.
I had to wait for my bus so they invited me for dinner, a very good meal and a very good drink.
They are a very welcoming family and a golden family.

We arrived in Ha Giang at 2:30 in the night and Henry was waiting at that time outside of his Hostel. He gave us a bed in his nice dormitory.
In the morning we booked a three day tour with motorcycle and everything worked perfect. Was a nice Tour.
When we came back we were invited to join the dinner with his friends, a great evening with lots of happy water. 😊
Henry organized the bus back to Hanoi for us and helped us with all our questions.
Thanks a lot Henry and your wife. You could be a friend if I know you longer!

Best rental shop to start and finish the loop! Myself and three other friends were granted a free night stay before we started the loop and free night stay when we finished as well! Who does that!? I'm not sure that they will continue that deal in the future because they were very new and trying to promote their business but even without the free nights bonus the place is amazing. Well cleaned bathrooms and rooms. The staff is awesome and they truly care about everyone coming through. They drove out and met us when an accident occurred and helped us pay for the damages to another bike. They called us everyday to check in and make sure everything was tip top.

The bikes they offer are very new, in great shape and we'll priced. I was the first person to rent the Honda 150cc in February and they still were the best price on a 150 in Ha Giang. I highly recommend getting the 150cc if it's available. The power difference is substantial and way more enjoyable, making for a better overall experience for sure.

They'll go over a map of the loop with you, and a beer, and tell you about all the spots to eat, sleep and sight see.

We rented the motorbike here and traveled the hi giang loop before riding on to Sapa and then on to Hanoi. We then left the bike at the Grand Conifer Hotel where we were based and the riverside hostel arranged pickup for €20 to return bike to them. The stay in the hostel was free as we were renting the bike, and the lady we were dealing with was lovely.

Great place. Henry is a hard working and friendly man. Has all the information you ever need. Best bike rental place in town. Also granted a free night after I finished the super tiring loop.

This hostel is your one stop shop for everything Ha Giang loop related. We were greeted with hot tea and warm smiles.The owner and his staff were extremely helpful when it came to information about the scenic drive. The hostel is clean and cheap and has a great atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and very approachable if you have any questions. We also rented our bikes from here as they are new and charge a very affordable rate. Highly recommended.

We didn’t stay at the place but we rented a bike for the loop here. Service was just fantastic, had no issues with anything at all! Got a good manual bike for very reasonable price (400k with insurance), helmet, gloves and elbows/knees protection for no additional fee. Had no problems on the road with a bike, finished our trip safely till the very end. 100% recommended to rent a bike at Riverside!

Great Hostel. 1000% recommend staying here whilst in Ha Giang mostly due to the amazingly hospitable and friendly owners and staff. Arrived at 4am with nowhere to go and were taken in and given beds straight away with no charge. They were amazing and helped sort out everything we needed and meant we could set out the very next morning despite doing no planning whatsoever.

We also met a Traveller who had an accident on the loop and they came out straight away to the crash and took care of everything and went far beyond what they needed to. The bikes they rent are also top notch. We got nearly new Honda bikes for the 4day loop which rode really well and were more than reasonably priced and were insured against all damage. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and experience in Ha Giang.

Absolutely fantastic place ! They were soo helpful with everything and you can get great bikes there for the loop as well. Even days after we left from there Henry we’re still checking up on us asking if we needed anything.

I stopped here to check out the bikes in prep for riding the Ha Giang loop with my friends. I met Paul, checked out the bikes, and got a great vibe so we rented 3 bikes (all were in good order) and were given decent helmets and elbow and knee protection. Paul gave us some tips and lots of info for the route, and we stayed the night on our return. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the food was good. Paul is a legend! We really enjoyed our time here.

We got a really good deal renting motorbikes here. The bikes were in great condition and worked perfectly for the whole loop. Staff was very friendly and helpful getting us set up, informing us where to go and how to navigate the police checkpoint. They spoke very good English too. I'm definitely coming back to Ha Giang to see the countyside with a little better weather and when I do I will rent from here again.

Very nice hostel on the outskirts of Ha Giang. Great terrasse with a river view for late night chilling. Everything from HG loop tours to bus rides can be managed through the reception. Be sure to ask Henry about the secret waterfall and pay a visit to café just few doors up the street.

This is a very new hostel, with dorms and private rooms. The beds are comfortable and clean.They made them every day. It's terrace has an amazing river view, perfect to chill out and chat with other travellers. The owner and the staff are friendly and always willing to help you. Good motorbikes and well maintained. Helmets, knees and elbows protections included in the price. Great vibes!!!

Perfect place for the Ha Giang loop. Motorbikes are good and knee/elbow protection is provided, and very good price.
The hostel is also great. Clean, comfortable, great terrace and you can order a very good breakfast as wel. The owner and the staff are the nicest people, they will help you with everything you need.

We had no plans to stay at this hostel but was offered a free room when we landed in Ha Giang from Sapa on our night bus. We rented a bike from them to do the loop and both Logan and Paul were super helpful in explaining the loop and the routes we could take. The owner was very friendly and the hostel was one of the cleanest I've been in in Vietnam. Both Paul and Logan spoke perfect English and gave us a good rate for the bike. Would totally recommend.

A friend in Hanoi recommended for us to go to this place to rent motobike and do the ha giang loop. Our bus arrived at 3:30 am, and the hostel staff came and picked us up!, We were offered a free room when we rented motorbikes with them. Perfect combo!
The staff is amazing, above all Paul (huge Dutch guy with a beard) was so friendly! Showed us a great route to take along the loop and great places to stop for breathtaking views! Breakfast is good too!

Amazing hostel, we arrived in the middle of the night without a reservation and we got a room easily. If you rent motorbikes here for the Ha Giang loop you get the night for free, rent per day is 150k which is a good price. After the loop we could shower and stay until our bus arrived, great service for a low price.

Staff is so friendly and helpful! Open late For people who ride the night bus into town. Excellent prices on accommodations and bikes. The motor bikes are in tip top shape, very well maintained. And rental prices are cheap! Nice view of the river. And a pool table too! Will stay here again when I come back to Ha Giang. Thank you riverside hostel. I miss you guys!
