During my first visit to Vietnam, I wanted to go hiking in the countryside and see what rural life is like while learning about the people in the northern part of the country. The Sapa tour was exactly what I was looking for and turned out to be as interesting and informative as I'd hoped! The tour guide was absolutely wonderful. She was professional and knowledgeable, and I learned a great deal from her. She was very clear with instructions, as well. She welcomed questioned and constantly offered information about the land and the people. She was born and raised in one of the villages we visited, so she had first-hand knowledge of the area.

The travel agency director, Tung, was nothing short of amazing. He responded almost immediately to all of my inquiries and he was always courteous and professional. He took care of all of the details, including booking my train ticket and arranging pickups and drop-offs. The cost of the tour was very reasonable, too. The homestay in which I spent a night was excellent; the owner was very welcoming and the food was awesome. The sleeping accommodations were great after a long day's hike, and the view was incredible. It was not a 5-star hotel, but that is part of its charm; it is someone's home that designed to welcome guests and it was much more interesting than staying in a hotel. Plus, it supports the local people.

If you're looking for a tour that is genuinely informative and involves staying somewhere other than a standard hotel, I cannot recommend Tung and his agency highly enough. When I return to Vietnam and am looking for a tour, this is the agency that I'll call!

We booked the 5 days Ha Giang tour from Spain (quick response and easy to book). The tour was absolutely perfect: really trained driver and excellent guide, who did everything to make us feel confortable and adapted the tour to our needs (thanks, Huy!). Ha Giang is a stunningly beautiful province, and everything was prepared with care: the homestays (soooooo nice!), the stops in our way, the places we ate in... It is really worth to do this tour. Besides, Huy and Tung (the terrible guide) helped us whith other things in our trip after the tour, and we decided to make with them two more one-day tour. We can´t be more happy with this agency.

We had booked a 5 days tour (Mu Cang Chai, Sapa) with driver and English speaking guide. We were absolutely delighted by this experience. Excellent program, driver and guide were very competent and took great care of us. Overnights with inhabitants were unforgettable and nice experience. Excellent food, in particular in homestays. We booked a one night trip to Halong Bay through The Terrible Tour Guide Travel and it was fabulous -- food, accommodation, service, activities. Our guide was old Duc and he was friendly, funny, and very informative. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend it!

We walked into the office with worries about connecting two separate places into the week we had and concerns about accommodations and luggage. Less than half an hour later we walked out with a full seven day all meals and accommodation private guide deal well in budget . We enjoyed every minute of the trips and saw way more than we would have done without the help of Joey.

Ik kwam via Facebook in contact met Dương Dương van The Terrible Tour Travel. Mijn visum liet heel lang op zich wachten en Dương Dương zei dat hij mij kon helpen met een urgent visa.
