Mai Chau Hideaway Lake Resort

What an amazing experience in such a wonderful hotel. 2 nights were not enough for me to discover all the wonderful things here. My room had a stunning view of the lake, with clouds floating lazily overhead in the early morning. The food was very local and to my taste, and the kayaking experience on the lake was the best of the best.

A hidden paradise in the heart of the Hoa Binh lake. Next to the resort, there is a boat service to take you into the lake and explore its beauty. Room is pretty nice and although it’s not very sound proof, it’s nice that they gi ve you an explanation why. The restaurant is nice with a good collection of local food and it’s vegetarian friendly. The staff is very help ful and very friendly. I like the green sceneries around and the view of the lake is magnificient. Highly recommended if you want to explore some exotic beauty and a quiet place.

A truly beautiful location! The view from every point of the resort is stunning. The staff were kind and helpful, and there was plenty of delicious options for food at the restaurant. Was very easy to arrange a ride into Mai Chau and explore. Hope to visit again soon 🏝

I stayed here for 4 nights in early December - it was a very relaxed and laid back stay. The rooms have a stunning view of the lake and the Wifi was one of the best on our trip to Vietnam. The staff is very helpful and accommodating - thank you to both Nhu and Jacob for their excellent service and attention to detail. We would gladly stay here again!

A perfect hideaway location for your family. The room are clean, food flavour is unique, staffs are friendly especially Mr. Lam for taking me so many nice pictures. Don't hesitate to come and enjoy your time here . Will be back next year !!

Mai Chau wasn't in my list until I got here by accident. Well, this resort locates far from the center and I didn't see anything around them. But it's suprise me when I was walking to the restaurant cause I had no choice. I'm not the person in the north of Vietnam but the food anf flavor delicious and yummy. You guys should come by and taste the local food here. It's the best food I have done in VN.

This is really a nice place. the scene is amazing, food is good. We were impressed by the staff, especially Mr. Jacob. There's ethnic dance at the reception hall every evening and it was really fun to enjoy.

As a 3 star property it rates highly, the views are very impressive as is the road to get there.
The staff are professional and welcoming, service exceeds virtually every 3 star hotel in Vietnam.
Rooms are clean and well presented, though the lack of a TV may deter others, but the room view is tranquil and satisfying instead.
Spa services are excellent. Breakfast the Pho and the eggs stand out for flavor.

This resort is the perfect getaway location! There's not much to do in the immediate surrounding areas, which is what makes it the perfect place to unwind and relax, especially if you're coming from a busy city. Located right by Hoa Binh Lake, it has amazing views (even when it's raining). The staff is super friendly and helpful; when the room next to us was being rowdy, I called the receptionist to help resolve it (and she did so immediately). Nhu (a receptionist) was especially kind. I only wish I had more time to spend here.

Note: to get here, you can either book a van directly with the resort OR you can take one of the local "limousine vans" (9-seater van, 200k VND/person), which will take you to the 3-way intersection close to Mai Chau. From there, you would have to take a taxi to get to the resort for another 200k VND (if taking the local limousine van). Not complicated to get to; you'd just need to make sure you can get there.

The resort is everything we wanted: isolated beautiful place with excellent food and friendly staff. The landscape around the resort is amazing, room is spacious and brand new. We loved the food, it was always excellent. Staff is trained to serve in five stars hotels. Can’t wait to go back in summer

What a great resort in Mai Chau! The swimming pool was good and the water wasn’t too cold. There are amazing mountains around it so the view is beautiful. The room got everything we need. I love it!

Good resort in Amazing location, not so far from Hanoi (140km to the western of Hanoi). So nice to be in quite & peaceful corner which is facing to huge lake with stunning landscape viewing. Rooms so elegant & staffs also efficient and helpful. My priority for next trip.

We spend 2 nights in this beautiful resort. It's a quiet and charming place where you can relax and enjoy the nature. We had a nice room with lake view. The food was also very good. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place to find ourselves on a surprise getaway.
After the hustle and bussle of Hanoi it was lovely to spend 2 days at the Mai Chau Hideaway and relax among the nature. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room overlooked the lake view and was clean, comfortable and a good size.
We will definitely recommend this place for people in search for a relaxed and luxurious stay. The unique thing about this place is its wonderful atmosphere and all the nice local people.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay, quality accommodation with supportive staff, good breakfast and amenities. It's quite far away though but nice to spend time away from busy streets of Hanoi

We know Maichau hideaway resort from my friends and we choose it for our holiday. We not only can experience the unique luxury & ecological accommodation in Mai Chau Valley but also join in many activities such as: visit ethnic people villages, cycling, hiking, swimming, trekking, kayaking …The local foods are so good. We will come back :) and recommend to our guests who want to explore the nature in the Northwest Vietnam

when I come there, the place haven't fully complete yet ( about 90 ) . Great location with nice view. Friendly staffs. The price is a bit high because there isn't much activities at that place. Good for a 2 day - 1 nigh trip.

We were told to be the first paying customers. It’s a hideaway in its true meaning. Remote. Calm. In a stunning landscape. With friendly and caring staff. Expect some limitations as they’re not fully set up. Anyway worthwhile to go!
