Was the best meal in Samarkand. The dining rooms are nice and the staff extra helpful and friendly. Menu in English , with excellent Uzbek cuisine. The plov is particularly good - and can be found at later hours, like 930p, not something common in the area. Totally recommended also the langman and the manti.

The place welcomed us new dwellers quite warmly on our first meeting together in the chilling autumn city. We even got complimentary desserts after our meal. The food was warm and delightful.

so far the best restaurant in whole ozbekistan. not just talking about taste or price im taking about proper service. if you visit this place you will finally feel something what you used to in your homeland. very responsive waiter with good foreign language skill and good manner. food is over the average (actually you can try good ozbek meal in most of places regardless of its price its fanciness) though service is exquisite in ozbek standard price also humble. if you having a time in samarkand i highly recommend this place.

Once I will visit Samarqand again, the Old City restaurant will be the first place I want to go :⁠-⁠) tranquil atmosphere, warmed by the beautiful fireplace, super kind waiters, great pilav and the best salads! With a good beer on the table I didn't want to leave the restaurant, especially in the end of November :⁠-)

We found a few nice restaurants in Samarkand with good vegetarian options but this one was the best! Lovely dining room with a cozy fireplace, English menu, but best of all, fantastic vegetarian options of many of the best Uzbek foods. Also dozens of delicious salads!

Food and service were great! There are many local specialities you can try at affordable prices.

This is a traditional, family-owned Uzbek restaurant. The ambience is homey and comfortably welcoming. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. They also offer English menus for English-speaking clientele, which is not always the case in Uzbekistan.

A wide array of vegetarian options and incredible, helpful staff. This was some of the best Uzbek food I’ve ever eaten in a comfortable, welcoming environment. Highly recommend.

Many options for tasting traditional Uzbek cuisine, perfect for lunch or dinner. Meat dumplings were delicious! Service is good, the waiter was able to explain the dishes to me, it was really appreciated!

We were hoping for a legit Uzbek experience and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere was warm, the decor was beautiful and the food was delicious. But the hospitality of the staff especially shone so we'll remember this meal for a long time. Thanks 🙏

When you enter you are warmly greeted. The decor on the wall is pretty traditional art that will show you a bit of the uzbek arts history. The music is quiet and calm therefor it won’t distract you from enjoying your meal and conversation. It is the first place i have been to in Samarkand where they explicitly cater to vegetarian, and if you re vegan you will also find a way around it by asking them to not put the cheese or cream on the meal. It is difficult to find a places that understands how someone can eat food without meat.
