Food is nice. I liked the salmon steak and shrimp salad. Staff are helpful and can speak English. Service is great. There is also a live singer. I liked the ambience; cozy and relaxing.

Lamb and beef barbecue were great!
Soft and tasty meat. A lot of different kind of barbecue.
Salad with eggplant and tomato was very tasty.
But pilaf has one small peace of meat...(
And waiter said, that every day life music after 9p.m., but i did not hear.

I recommend this restaurant!

The location is close to Registan Square, the decor is beautiful, and the waiter is nice and tried to serve me to the best of his ability. Salad and main course are delicious Uzbek meals.

I really cannot understand all the negative ratings. We really enjoyed everything about this place: the food, the friendly service and the atmosphere (and the beautiful pigeons!). Food was fresh, tasty and was served very quickly. Desserts also looked delicious, but we simply had no space left. You can also find vegetarian options here (quite rare thing in Uzbekistan), see picture of bulgur with vegetables.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I just finished a delicious meal. Cold beer, a portion of fries, a very nice mixed Turkish salad, a chicken kebab and a lamb kebab. Everything was just right. Service was fast and friendly. Cold food was cold. Hot food was hot. Flavor was great, especially the kebabs. Not sure what all the complaints ate about. Staff is working hard to get it all right.

We had a great lunch here. Prices are economical and a few waiters speak English so it is easy to communicate.

We don’t understand about the bad review in this restaurant, we’ve been in different restaurants in Samarkand and I must say this was the best service and food we experienced. Our waiter was very helpful, prompt and attentive. He made sure our table is well looked after. The food was delicious and the shashlik were very tender. I definitely go back again.
Note: All the fine dining restaurants in the area do take 15% service charge

I've dined many times at Labi G'or over a couple of trips to Samarkand.
I've always been very happy with the food and service. Standouts are the salads and grilled meats. It's by far the best place to eat in the area, right opposite the Registan.
Special thanks to our favourite waiter Bahodir who has made the last couple of meals extra fantastic with his lovely smile, great recommendations and fab service.

Very nice restaurant, especially the one the second floor terrace. Food, service, ambiente - excellent and OK prices.
For a lunch (Egg plant salad, Lamm shashlik, bread and beer I paid 58.000 Sum (aprox. 5.2 Euro).
The quantity of bad reviews is impressing. They complain about bad food, hygiene, overprice (3x), that there are no price on the menu, tourist rip off etc.
Just have a look inside to see mainly local customers and happy faces.

We managed to sit top deck around 4pm and stayed until around 8pm. Was great to watch the comings and goings, we people watched, the food looked good 👍 unfiltered beer was really good and cold and service was bang in as we came to the end of a beer each time. Great place for a stop off after 6 hours of walking Samerkand 👍
If you are avoiding other tourists then this is not the place from around 6om. But if you get there early you can bag a good spot for the evening 👍

Was also surprised by bad reviews. Food and service was good. All good available. No attempts to charge more.

I don't know why this place has such bad reviews; we enjoyed our lunch there. Perhaps it's not the cheapest option, but the food was nice and the service was great. We loved the decor too

I'm really unsure what's up with the reviews but I can guarantee you that this is one of the best restaurants i've tried in Uzbekistan!

Service is super fast, very polite, speaks great English.

Food was outstandingly good. The meat was juicy and fresh, salads tasted amazing.

Price is absolut reasonable for the quality you get .

Please don't trust the reviews, that's a absolute top restaurant!
