Bibikhanum Teahouse

Actually one of my fav restaurants of the trip. I don’t eat beef, lamb, or mutton and this place doesn’t mix the grilled meat. Their chicken plates are tasty and love the baklava here as well.

We ordered chicken kebab, salad and meatball with mash potato. All tasted amazing and fresh. Prices are very affordable, cute seating area and good service overall. It can get super crowded with tourist groups!

The location is excellent and offers fresh and delicious Uzbek meals, the staff are kind, and the restaurant has a place equipped for Muslim prayers.

Excellent position - the restaurant is located near Siab market and Bibi Khanum mosque. The staff is very polite, the dishes are brought quickly. The prices are very affordable, so a lot of local residents also come there to eat along with tourists. The food is delicious and made from fresh ingredients, I would especially recommend their samsa, plov (pilaf, osh), pelmeni (dumplings) and shashlik (meat on sticks grilled on carbon).
ATTENTION: the bathroom isn't great, not very clean, at least it wasn't in April 2023. Unfortunately, it's common for Uzbek restaurants. So it's better to go to the toilet which is situated outside, in a few hundred meters, in front of Bibi-Khanum mosque, it costs a little and is much cleaner.

Great place! The best food I’ve had in Uzbekistan. Everything I had was delicious. Customer service was great too.

Ate here three times while staying in Samarqand, the food is great with a large menu and vegetarian options unlike most of Uzbekistan. The staff are so friendly and made us feel welcome each time, it is run by a family we we had the pleasure to speak to each time. It’s right in the centre of Samarqand and a perfect place for a quick bite or longer meal. Thank you!

I have stop there just for a tea, but the interior and the view from restaurant is spectacular, you should definitely check it

We returned to this place many times during our stay in Samarkand, to enjoy the athmosphere and spiced tea again and again. Back home and I miss the food!

Extremely good lemon tea and Uzbek baklava!! The noodle soup is very filling and tasty as well. I would definitely recommend coming here after visiting the Bibi Khanum mosque!

Nice break under Bibi Khanym's. We had a green tea, espresso (really good for the average level in Uzbekistan). The outside was comfortable and all the staff was really kind and prepared. The price are really good.

Very nice, quiet place to enjoy a good coffee with baklava. Very friendly waiters. Our favorite place in Samarqand to sit and relax.

Exceptional service and super delicious food. We ate shashlyk and boiled rice as a side for lunch and uighur lagman noodles for dinner. Special thanks to Khushnud whose excellent manners and communication skills were the main reason we came back to this place for dinner!

Fantastic find in Samarkand! Great vegetarian options - the pumpkin manti were particularly delicious and have not found elsewhere in Uzbekistan! Great ambiance including tapchan seating and reasonable value considering location.

Great plov. Flavour of the meat permeated the entire meal, and the meat itself was very tender.

It's situated a little bit near the main tourist's street. But it has quite reasonable prices, very good variety as a national cuisine, and as a world fast food with some delicious dishes, especially lagman and shurpa. Also has vegetarian options.
So, you will not stay hungry in any case!
