Love this place, won't shop anywhere else friendly and knowledgeable

Very helpful staff and spent time explaining the details on the different Blanton’s bottles and made great recommendations. Couldn’t make up my mind so just got both bronze & gold.

I was able to obtain alcohol that was difficult to obtain.

This is one of the Best liquor stores in Houston very nice prices on all brands of liquor 🥃 no matter what sheift you choose from top or buttom your getting a good price on your bottle no matter if it’s a holiday or not This is the place to goo

Lost for words... First off they had two bottles of EH Taylor Small Batch that came up in a Google search & ACTUALLY HAD it on hand & the service was phenomenal. I was escorted around the store & shown everything new, rare, at great discount etc. Wow. What an experience! Btw this is the first review I've ever written.

Edward, Mel, and quite honestly the whole staff here are AMAZING! I came looking for a very popular, but hard to find bottle of bourbon for my dad for Christmas and they were the only place in town that had it. They were so helpful and very friendly! I will definitely be going back.

This store and its staff are top notch. The are super knowledgeable, super friendly and nearly know all regulars by name. The selection is great and prices are very good as well. They do a great job of keeping items in stock that the big box stores are always out of. Highly recommend.

I made a "quick" turnaround trip yesterday. The guys behind the counter were friendly, comical, and knowledgeable. I was in luck that they had the bourbon I was looking for. The store is clean and well stocked...with several hard to find alcohols. I'll be making the 5 hour round trip again! They also made sure my purchase was well packed for the trip home.

I must say that I had a great experience with Valu Discount Liquor. The staff was very knowledgeable in the Bourbon World. I scored some must have Bourbons for my tasting collection. The store was very clean and easy in and out. I will pass this store on to my buddies and will be going back in the near future.

I cannot more highly recommend Valu Discount Liquor. I called over 15 liquor stores looking for a specific Whiskey for my boyfriend and Valu liquor was the only store that had it available. I spoke to I believe Joesph who was so friendly, kind and helpful. He even walked me through the history of the whiskey and the distinct features of the bottle. It was my first time visiting the store and was very impressed with the variety of alcohol and the staff. I will definitely be going back to the store for future purchases.

If youre visting Houston and love 1738 like me....THIS PLACE is the cheapest in town! $59.99 for a fifth!!! So I bought 2 bottles.
