Wow! Disgusting customer service at this location. 1 week post operation customer just looking for a game to play during recovery. Disclaimer, I have worked Black Friday retail many times in my life. I understand the stresses 100%. Today, November 24, 2023 I walked into this location to capitalize on 1 game that was on sale. I bring 5 Nintendo Switch games to trade in towards the purchase, as is standard practice for GameStops… the moment I walk in I am greeted by a young man with a ponytail who laughs at the concept of me using my games towards the purchase due to it being “high volume”. I want to point out that there were maybe 4-6 other customers browsing and none in the check out lane. He encourages me to not trade them in again. How does that even make sense?? I walk over to the corner, grab my game, walk through the empty line and get to the bearded gentlemen at the counter. He laughs and says, “picked the worst day to do this”. I explain, I don’t live near a GameStop, I am currently 1 week post op of a tailbone surgery, just wanted to capitalize on Black Friday sales. Is that such a crime? To want to purchase a game on sale to play during my recovery by trading in 5 Switch games. I was treated with cold silence after I explained. Before being rushed out, I can’t help but feel their distaste for me resulted in disrespectfully lowball prices on my trade ins. Whole transaction took maybe 1-2 minutes. Disappointed and felt incredibly disrespected by the staff. Will not be back. Do better, gamestop.
