Market Basket

I worked here as a teenager and absolutely love these grocery stores, especially compared to those in further away parts of the country. Great prices, unique selections (particularly greater variety of ethnic foods), and friendly staff.

Hands down the only choice for a supermarket in New Hampshire. Shaws and Hannaford have a third the selection, twice the price, employees that don't give a damn all housed in the oldest and most run down malls and shopping centers in town.

Market basket has a massive selection, spectacular prices, a ton more hot, bakery, and deli ready made choices, wonderful employees, and they are all in new clean buildings. They also employ half of every local high school's students giving them great pay and working hours.

It astounds me that anyone would shop at the out of state, expensive chain stores instead of supporting the local and regional economies and saving money on a better product at Market Basket!

I'm always shocked at hannaford's because it's closer to my house I started coming to market basket a couple months ago and in those two three months that I've been coming here, I have dealt with so many friendly workers. It's amazing. Hannaford's and Alton is such a completely different atmosphere than it is in market basket. The employees are nicer at market basket. They're more helpful at market basket, so I'm so glad that I changed to market basket

I had an amazing experience at Market Basket in Tilton New Hampshire today. Ran in to grab a few things that I needed and got into the 20 items or less lane. The girl asked how I was doing today and I said I just had a chemo treatment so I wasn't feeling really great and just wanted to get home. She said I hear you, my mom is going through the same thing. Rang up to around $45 total but then my card wouldn't work even after numerous tries.
An older lady (I'm 64) was behind me in line and handed the cashier a 25 dollar Market Basket gift card. I said thank you but that won't cover it and told the cashier I'm sorry but I won't be able to drive all the way home to get cash and come back again and she said " I got you" as she pulled out her credit card to cover the balance. I thanked them both profusely and even promised to pay it forward (I actually do all the time paying for the car behind me at dunkin' donuts). Heading for the door with my groceries the manager noticed I was upset and asked if I was okay. I said you've got the best workers and the best customers around. I just wanted to get out of there so I told him to go to the 20 items or less aisle and ask the cashier what happened. As he headed that way I headed out the door. Got to the car and as I glanced back at the store I could see the manager and cashier waving to me through the window. I gave a grateful wave back. I got to say I spent at least a few minutes sitting there with tears in my eyes happy that they restored my faith in humanity. My advice, always pay it forward because someday that good karma will be there for you! Thank you again to that lovely lady and the cashier. May all the good karma you can handle fall into your lives! 💞 The cashier was at 20 items or less right around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. I don't know her name but she should be giving a bonus and at least employee of the month and to the older lady behind me you deserve customer of the month. Thank you both so much from making my day. You've got some great employees working there

Great food options for the cheapest prices!

It's a grocery store. Everyone has their favorites. Prices on some items are great other items not as great. Same as with every grocery store.
So what you should look for is cleanliness ...yes

Quick and easy checkout ...yes

I went to Market Basket around 7:30ish this am. For all the employees who took time out of their busy morning to help me. You all should praise yourselves! Awesome Customer Service!!! I've never been to such a great place! Dimulas Market Basket in Tilton, NH. I SERIOUSLY CANNOT name too many stores that I want to revisit based on just their Customer Service. Thank you! You all made my day!!!!

Always courteous employees, well organized store. First time ordering from the deli, got 2 subs and they were AWESOME and very very good price. Great quality! Christine was patient and kind- thank you.

This grocery store is not just a can do it is a must do! Prices, selection, location, and most importantly service are second to none. Every location, every time.

This store has some great permade foods,there stuff peppers,and stir fyers from the meat department they are so very tasty and great snack options .

This Market Basket is set up a little differently from others, which is interesting.
They often have a great selection of otherwise difficult to find specialty items that if they didn't carry, I'd need to go to an Asian market in Manchester to find!
It's always quite busy and crowded even during times I wouldn't expect, so the atmosphere can be a bit stressful.
The prices are good and the people are helpful and friendly.

Always a pleasure to shop there. I love their prices and freshness on the vegetables and choices on the meats. Some of the items are not as plentiful but still not as bad as the other stores. The staff is always helpful and if you need help they do not act like it's an imposition to help. This is my first choice of stores all the time.

Everything you need for groceries plus they have the best subs , pizza , soups , & a Cafe !!! New & clean
Also the have a fruit room ..so fresh yummy fruits & produce. I also love there brand of reusable canvas bags " like a box " string ...I use theese for everything !

Love this location! The staff are always friendly and helpful and they always have the best prices and selection. The made to order deli subs are super delicious and huge! The only complaint is that they do not allow a tip jar for the workers making the sandwiches. Everytime I come for a sandwich they are very busy and the staff works very hard to keep the line moving at a reasonable pace and they deserve all the tips!
