This is a nice UPS Store, it has great atmosphere, and friendly staff and employees! This much nicer location than the UPS Store in the Fremont Shopping Center! 5 Stars for this location!

I needed several documents notarized and went to the UPS Store near my home only to learn the notary would not be in for several hours. I had never been to the UPS Store on Victoria Ave. (next to Vons) so decided to call and was happy to learn the notary was on duty and would be there for the next several hours.

When I arrived I immediately noticed the store was very clean and well kept. There was a short line that went quickly. Everyone was masked and keeping proper distance.

When it became my turn, Natasha, the young lady at the counter, was very polite, courteous and professional. She verified my identity and immediately began working on my documents. Everything went very smoothly and was signed and ready to go in about 10 minutes.

The icing on the cake? It cost $5 less per document than the UPS Store I usually go to! I will be getting my documents notarized and bringing my packages to this location from now on. Thank you Natasha for the great service.

Very helpful, family run UPS store. They know the best way to send packages. Convient drop off location for USPS and UPS. Glad they have hours on Sunday now so I have an extra window to send and receive my packages.

We simply asked for a two page notary and we were told the customer service was going home early and raised her voice. It was an easy task and we did not say anything until she was yelling at us. When customer service acts like they are the actual customer and not the employee and when they hate their actual job then please work somewhere else. I been coming to that store for many years and now will go elsewhere now. The last time we visited we were under a lot of stress and confusion dealing with a notary for three USA States and International transaction for more than two months. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. It was a very tough and emotional situation so today I was in shock we simply went there calmly to get it signed and when I said we will simply go somewhere else now the clerk was still yelling at us as we were leaving still with our backs turned to her and leaving she was still yelling at us. If I was the owner I want my customers coming to me for our bottom line profit regardless of the customers are in a good mood or bad mood I will want my staff to provide my customers service with patience. So today I must provide a harsh rating as I was in a good mood and quiet when I entered the store only to have the very short clerk yelling with a raised voice and I had stood there and said nothing. Bad vibes there clerk playing the victim because she is petite and I said nothing. She acted like she was the customer and self entitled when she acted like a child probably does this at home when she does get her way.

This is a terrible location. The female cashier was really rude and disrespectful. I had 3 Amazon returns and the first one was put in wrong by Amazon stating Customer pack , I had it in the box and all it needed was. A few strips of tape but she said no so I said let’s check the other 2 and that’s when she said “You can read can’t you” and when I said I was going to call Amazon to get it corrected she told me to get out of the store to do that . When I told her I was going to call while there so I didn’t have to drag the box around she said she was getting the owner to throw me out . Very poor customer service. People shouldn’t be treated like that . I feel like she was profiling me and didn’t like the way I looked. When I went outside 2 other people told me that they are rude at that location and I should use the one up the street .

Having been a notary for the better part of 20 years, as part of being a VP of national banks and legal offices, and having notarized thousands of certificates, mortgage loan documents, oaths, and letters of authorizations, I was honored to train notarizations often where I’ve worked in the past.

Having just lost my two parents, 97 & 93 years old, in the same 30 day period in July and August of this year, I was happy to sell our handicap wheel-chair van to a local person whose daughter uses a wheelchair, and the van would help them greatly with trips to doctors and hospitals as needed. The van was going to be in use tomorrow for the new owners so having our paperwork notarized was very important to the buyers.

We took our paperwork to the UPS Store in the Vons Seabridge shopping center. They’re not the best for copies, but ok, and their system for getting print outs from flash drive documents is a bit antiquated, but they’re convenient for notarizations.

For those of you that know the difference, we did not need an oath. We did not need a Jurat. We didn’t need a witnessing of the signatures. We just needed an acknowledgment. That doesn’t require the signatures to be completed in front of the notary. It just requires all signers to be present, identification in hand, and acknowledge that they in fact, did sign the document on the date listed.

The notary there, a young lady with tattoos along both arms, not “full sleeve” but close. I mention them only as identification. I have tattoos and it wasn’t an issue. She told me from across the room (she heard us speaking about what we were about to do) that she wouldn’t notarize anything that wasn’t signed in front of her. I explained that we weren’t looking for a jurat or an oath, but just an acknowledgment. She insisted they needed to be signed in front of her. I explained that she’d be right if it were a jurat but it wasn’t.

I was tired. I was stressed. The word “hon” may have slipped out while explaining notary rules to her, but she abruptly said “I won’t do them at all” after we offered to sign them in front of her. The owner, seemingly dumbfounded and a little worried about customer service explained he wasn’t a notary, and couldn’t force her to do it.

My point is this...you run a business. It would have taken them 20 seconds to google CA acknowledgment rules about signatures signed before the date of notarizations. Although he couldn’t force her, seeing that their customer was right, and needing the service badly in the name of a handicapped young woman, could have asked “pretty please” of his employee. Lastly, I for one, would not want a notary public who doesn’t know her job or the rules that control it, being affiliated with my business. I wouldn’t want ANY employee or contractor so sensitive that they would refuse service due to a customer’s “attitude” based on their superior knowledge of their commission, probably losing that customers future busines. Him saying “I’m no notary so I don’t know” as his defense was weak and lacking in customer care or care of the customer.

I, for one, won’t support or patronize this business anymore. They are convenient, but they’re not the only place in town. And their service left a lot to be desired anyway. Beware having anything notarized by this young lady who proved to me she doesn’t know her job good enough for anyone to trust in her counsel or advice.
