Paragraphs Bookstore

Paragraphs is an amazing name and a great little shop. This isn't a mega box store it is a cozy book so that has a lot to offer and if there is something you want that's not there they are very willing to help to get it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is very inviting.

Nice selection of books, staff was very friendly and more than happy to take the time to help my 6 year old find what she was looking for and made her feel so apart of the shopping trip she couldn't wait to read all the books. Will definitely be going back for the next round of books.

i frequent paragraphs, and it is a wonderful bookstore with wonderful people. they have a wide selection of books for various ages and of many genres; they also have fun socks, bookmarks, soaps, and plushies. the atmosphere is very calming, and the staff members are personable, knowledgable, and always willing to assist.

It is a nice bookstore located not far from the square. Staff here was really nice and able to talk about some of their favorite books. They also were able to give good recommendations.

A bunch of wandering tourists enter a random local book store. It was fantastic! The people were friendly and the selection was great (my 5 year old scored 4 books & a butterfly). I did ask for a book they didn't have, but they were quick to point out that it could be ordered and when I explained I lived 10 hours away, they even shipped it to me! I am very impressed that the book arrived 5 days later considering the time of year. This store is why local book stores should be saved!! Please consider them the next time you are in town!

Paragraphs is one of my favorite locally-owned bookstores. The staff is always knowledgable. I love to check out the staff picks. And if I'm not seeing anything that intrigues me, there is always someone with a recommendation ready!

Great customer service, and a fairly decent selection (especially of Young Adult) for a store of it's size. Staff is always helpful, and if you are searching for a specific book they don't have on hand, are very willing to order it for you.

Parking lot directly behind which is helpful and much more easier to park and get to then many of the locations in the same district.

Small area, with a little room to lounge if you wish.

Prices are reasonable and in line with other notable book stores.

Highly recommended.

Love this local bookstore. Staff are always extremely helpful. There's a great selection from Children's, to mystery, to journals and cute gifts like unique socks and games. Great for holiday gift giving. They'll even wrap it for you!

You just won't find a more helpful, friendly, and book-loving staff anywhere else! I moved away from Mount Vernon and still try to do all my book-buying at Paragraphs when I come to visit (or online!). Lois and Maxwell have both been so helpful through the years, always happy to make a great recommendation or order something that they don't have in the shop. One million stars!

Love this place!! They gave adorable little trinkets for book shelves! I get cheap prices for books I’ve wanted for awhile! They always keep new books on their shelves!
