NetCost Market

We live in Central NJ, so every time we are in the Northeast Philly, we go grocery shopping at NetCost.

Today, our GPS showed us that the Welsh Rd location was closer than the one on Bustleton. It was our 1st time at NetCost Welsh Rd and we really liked the place.

True that it is smaller compared to other NetCost locations, and the choices are somewhat more limited. However, it is also less crowded, more "cozy", less waiting time spent by cash registers, etc.

Every food specialty familiar to the ex-residents of the former Soviet Union is extensively represented at NetCost Welsh Rd, such as Ukrainian/Russian dumplings, herring, caviar, "black" rye bread, pickles, cold cuts, sausages, smoked sturgeon, chicken, pork and beef "cutlets" (or rather meatloaves), wide variety of "ready-to-go" foods, including crab and "Olivier" salads, spicy grated carrots Korean-style, "vinaigrette" (beet salad), "pirozhki" (a kind of Eastern European samosa), borscht and "solyanka" (vegetable and cold cuts soup), "kvas" (fermented Ukrainian refreshment beverage), packaged buckwheat, and dozens and dozens of other food items.

But don't get us wrong. The regular food staples, fruits and veggies, butcher corner, sauces, grains, cookies and pastries, chocolate and candies, canned food, and even Halal food section, you can find all of the above at NetCost Welsh Rd.

Ample parking.

Dominantly imported goods from Russia and other former Soviet Union countries, all good quality and price. Cashiers sometimes rude because they are mostly russians or and immigrants with low qualities of communications.

I LOVE this place! Very fresh produce, delicious and diverse pre-made meals, smoked meats, large cheese selection , fresh meats, awesome pastry selection and much more. People that work here are not overly friendly, but nice enough. We highly recommend shopping here.

This is a great super market located on Welsh Road at Blue Grass Road. They have a wide variety of Eastern European products. Their produce section is as good as any other supermarket in the area. They might be the best. They also have another store on Bustleton Avenue in the Leo Mall. Nice bakery great deli and fresh seafood sections. Just stopped for coffee today.

Nice Market ! You can find a lot of different stuff. Also, the food that they sell here is very good!

This is the best little secret. I can't believe I never shopped her b4. The cleanest most organized, well priced grocery store I have ever been too.

Lots of lamb and beef marinated meat for kebabs. Clean and lean. New and fresh!

Never been here before but the lighting was good. Welcoming and I felt like I was back in Poland. It wasn't exactly the same but good vibes. Great food selection. I picked up some smoked salmon with crackers and a cake.
All delicious. I definitely want to come back

Great Produce and Meat but STAY AWAY FROM THE NOT FRESH DESSERTS. I bought some desserts by the pound and when I got home they were so old that the fillings were dehydrated. Donuts were moldy underneath, cheese turnovers where the cheese was crunchy and dehydrated from sitting on the shelf forever, the bread is solid and old. GO TO BELL'S MARKET FOR THE BEST DESSERTS AND BREAD.

Always fresh food and grocery.

I have only visited NetCost once, but I almost assuredly will return. What a wonderful selection of unique foods! If you need some kvass, they have a little section dedicated to just that. Lots of sausages, smoked fish, breads, desserts, sweets, etc. I guess next time I'll need to bring a translator along so I can read all of the labels.

Usually pleasant experience. Lately out of stock of what I go there to buy... Roasted Seaweed packs. So, I took the long drive to the bustleton location. Was not a good experience. Left there never to return. But I intend to check at the welsh location for this item. But, unfortunately, looks like I'm forced to order from amazon.

This review is for the halal butcher specifically. I’ve only ever gotten the ribeye and ground beef, but the quality and choice of cuts it’s great, especially considering it’s halal.

The ribeye is probably choice grade, as prime requires further certification. Prices are also very good, even with the recent uptick.

Overall, I’d highly recommend the halal butcher to anyone who wants American cuts of beef.

Bonus: they have a halal refrigerator section with all kinds of cured meats and cheeses. They even have halal chicken and lamb samsa’s in the bread section that I think they make fresh daily

Awesome Eastern European, Russian offerings, bakery is the best. Old world feeling with staff, store is very modern and updated. Selection of cheeses is also second to none. Mostly food stuff not a full fledged supermarket selection.

Its a great store to buy groceries, meat, fish. Its clean, friendly atmosphere, helpful people. They have prepared food and salad. Baked goods. They always have something on sale. Wide selection of cakes, nuts.

Such a lovely place to shop for fruits and vegetables at a very affordable prices. The Dairy and poultry section is full of a variety of foods the eggs vary from normal to vegetarian to pasture raised. I also love the halal meat section plus the variety of multiple ethnic foods they provide . I'm a North African who loves to shop there and feel like I am at home for what I need for my family. 😋🤩

I've lived and been to Russian stores all over the US, and NetCost is the winner by quality, assortment, and prices! It is a 1hr hike for me from the suburbs that is WELL worth it (chocolate/candy/zefir/pickles addict here). Contrary to the experience of the previous reviewer, I got the freshest zefir and candy here (one box said it was packaged 2 weeks ago - what?!). I was hunting one specific type of candy which they didn't have, so one of the managers offered me to try the other kind (different colored RotFront soy batonchik) - and I did end up buying that :) very happy with the staff and the store. Will come back even with 1hr drive.

Great prices on produce. Some items obviously not the fanciest grade, but if you don't mind fruit with blemishes, you can get some very tasty dealz. Prepared food section is very appealing. Lots of bread options and a top notch butchery and bakery.
