PLAY Disc Golf

Visiting from out of town, didn't bring any disc's on the trip. Stopped in and ended up buying 6 disc's between me and my friend. Amazing selection, very nice owner/staff (unsure), great local recommendations. If I lived here I would be a regular.

Caught the disc golf bug before leaving for a trip and needed to find somewhere to pick up some discs that would help me put a proper set together for myself and my girlfriend on a budget when all I had was a single putter. I don’t know the finer points of disc golf and wanted to find somewhere more focused on disc golf than a big box sporting goods store. I’m so glad I went to PLAY.

I came in just as it opened and explained my situation. The owner, I’m assuming, was helpful and made suggestions for disk options. He helped me better understand the numbers on the discs and how to use them. He suggested a bundle pack for the lady and even switched out a disk for something that would work better for her. He explained the difference in products. I’m happy with my purchase and would gladly come back to PLAY rather than go on Amazon even if I knew exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, I’m not a ABQ local so I won’t be able to return as much as I’d like, but if you’re in the area or you’re local and haven’t stopped in, don’t hesitate. This is a great small business with knowledgable staff, affordable prices and a passion for disc golf - all you really need from a disc golf store.

There was a selection of used discs for sale but I opted to buy a fresh Innova Beast and Skeeter as the prices were great.

I want to improve my game by playing with better players, but I was not sure how to break into the community. I visited today to get information about events and opportunities to play with others.

The gentleman working today, I believe his name was Truman, answered all of my questions with eloquence and enthusiasm, and provided additional resources. I feel he went above and beyond my expectations. It is very apparent that he loves the game of disc golf and sharing his love for the sport with his customers.

As a beginner player, I won't deny that my first visits were intimidating as anything. But once I started getting into the game, I became more comfortable. Topher is always helpful and is a pillar of the community, helping maintain Roosevelt Park's course. But the real star is Izzie, the shop pup who is always happy to greet customers and friends!

Selection is admirable. If you can't find a disc you like, you're not looking. Baskets, bags, carts, minis, and a decent selection of second-hand discs and gear. They have a bit of everything!

Prices are competitive or industry standard, plus offers rewards for return customers and discounts every Tuesday.

Store hours are fluid at times depending on events and holidays, so be sure to call before heading over there. Great shop, will continue to return!

Definitely the biggest disc golf selection you could ask for. And the prices are the same as anywhere else.

Over the years in the 505 many thought about it, some talk about it, others have tried and failed but PLAY pulls it off! The owners are phenomenal! They are actively engaged in the community and help with so many different aspects of this growing sport. The selection is great! Prices are competitive , pair this with great customer service, extensive knowledge on industry trends. Its family owned for our discgolf family here in NM. Come and visit, spend your money here not online. !

Great selection of new and used discs at this local store! Every time I go they are always friendly and you can Chat with people who know and love the sport. They also sell all the gear and accessories you'll need, as well as foot bags and other fun outdoor goodies

Went in to support a brick and mortar DG store and met Topher and izzie. Great store with a huge selection! Really knowledgeable and good to chat with about Discgolf! What a gem you have here in ABQ! Will definitely be back if I am ever in ABQ again…

Great local store. Staff helped me build up my first set. Did a great job combining new and used disks to make it fit my budget. Very kid friendly.

There's a dog here and she's super friendly. Always 5 stars for that. Owners cool too. Will return for disc golf stuff too, but mostly the dog.

Best place to buy disc golf discs in town. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff and great prices. There's a huge selection of new and even used discs if you just want something inexpensive. Also very beginner friendly.

Really cool store! A lot of different merchandise. The guy working there was really nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this store and would come back again in the future if I'm in the area again!

Good selection, friendly staff, and mini disc side games. All in all a great disc golf store. Gonna be a necessary stop next time I'm in Albuquerque for sure.

Large selection of discs and accessories plus a kind and informative staff. They answered all of my questions and helped me find my new favorite disc! They sell used discs too, so you might find something you wouldn't find online.

Great disc golf shop. Picked up a couple used discs but they had a great selection of both new and used. Staff was friendly. Will shop here again for sure
