Port of Sound Record Shoppe

I recently bought an expensive record from Port of Sound's online store. They shipped it to me a few states away, very carefully packaged. I had been looking for this record for years and Port of Sound had the best price I've seen on it in years. Fantastic store; will buy from again.

Port of Sound is awesome. The selection at this place is HUGE! Its crazy cause we didnt expect much from the outside but were blown away when we stepped inside. We spent a long time here just browsing. I honestly wanted to buy the whole store haha, they have so many gems here and they keep everything pretty organized. They even have anime/video game records! All the genres you wouldn't really expect to see at other places.

Great store. Very organized. Clean, tidy. Decent amount of people coming in and out. Very much a millennial crowd. 90% of the store and I'd imagine their sales are from digital sound vs analog. Which appeals certainly to main stream. Those buying the newer record players this is right up your alley. No turntables sold here but plenty of support the vinyl collector. Posters too! I felt prices were high but also comparable to most shops of the like. Will absolutely go again.

Last holiday season was the first time i checked this shop out and was blown away by their incredible selection of vinyl records! From cbgb to new alt releases to iconic hip-hop, they have something for every music lover. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable, and they were more than happy to help me find what I was looking for and offer recommendations.

What really stood out to me was the quality of the records. They were all in great condition and sounded amazing on my turntable. I could tell that the shop takes pride in their collection and takes great care to ensure that each record is in top-notch shape.

The storefront itself is also very charming and welcoming. It has a great vibe that makes you want to spend hours digging through their crates of discounted records on the front boulevard. Plus, the prices are reasonable, especially considering the high quality/ selection of the records.

Overall, I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend it to any music lover. If you're looking for a great selection of vinyl records in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go!

Probably the best record store Ive been to. This store has a lot of awesome used and new records and they'll have almost anything you're looking for Rap, Pop Punk, Alternative, Jazz, Soundtracks they have it all, most of my collection are back of the shelf rare finds that I doubt the store even knew they had. The only real complaint I have is that it doesn't seem like their website accurately represents what they currently have in stock, which is fine because half of the fun of being here is looking for that hidden gem. also about a year ago someone bought all their stock so unfortunately they're not as fun to go to just to find records that you've been looking for but they have restocked some pretty amazing LPs so it's still worth going

So shocked to discover the best record shop in Orange County is located so close to home. Loved their layout with the space they had and how they set up drawers under the crates. Dopest record selection I’ve seen outside of LA.

Decent record options. Not many original vinyls available but they have a great selection of newer artists.

Awesome place! I was planning on going to another record shop nearby but I found out that this shop was closer to me. I was overwhelmed by all the records they have here. Quite an amount of new and used records. Purchased Michael Jackson - Thriller and found a used copy of The Moody Blues - Question of Balance in excellent condition.

Will absolutely come back to this store when I'm in the area for all my record needs.

A great place for cassettes even though it is mostly a vinyl shop. It has a small selection of cassettes. I was able to find the cassette I was looking for at this store!

Bought some new vinyls at a very competitive price. I was ready to pay to have them shipped when I realized I lived near by and onsite pickup was an option. Really clean store with a lot of options. They have a good selection of punk music and all new records seem to be sold at a competitive price for a brick and mortar. After looking through the used section, I could not find anything that stood out to me, but that may just be a fault of my own personal preference.

The owner of this shop was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He was gracious enough to even explain different cleaning techniques for our record collection. We will definitely be back.

It's always a joy to go to a record shop with loud music playing. Staff is nice, it's a little bit messy but all of their stock got sold recently so it is in the process of getting fixed. It's in a cool location as well, and staff is very happy to help you find what you need

Absolutely amazing shop. Huge huge selection of new vinyl including many copies on limited edition lps sold out everywhere else--being sold at list here. Stacks of drawers--crazy but cool. Nice selection of used. Lots of categories. One of the best I've been to. Oh--and amazingly they are open until 11pm!

Friendly, knowledgeable and approachable staff! Helped me out a few times. Prices are about what you'd expect. But the selection is awesome for both new and older quality vinyl. Plus they have turntables, needles, cleaning materials, and all sizes of plastic/poly to store your records. Check them out!

I always have a good shopping experience here. I recently purchased a 7 inch record and it came very well packaged. better than urban outfitters. I would buy from here again, again, and again.

First-time experience was very pleasant, I was like a kid in the candy store. They have a great selection of hip-hop, and overall variety.was gifted to tote bags and a set of stickers, employees were very nice and friendly. Will most definitely return 🙂

my favorite record store! ive purchased the majority of my records here, they have the best selection of indie, punk, electronic, shoegaze, etc Ive ever seen in a modern store. chances are if you’re looking for a record, they will have it. owner is very knowledgeable and will place orders of records you are looking for if they dont currently carry them. overall my favorite spot and a hidden gem.

Very good mood, the store is clean and always stocked to the brim! Very unlikely for you to not find your vinyl, the staff knows the store like the back of their hand so dont be afraid to ask if and where they have an album. Overall does what it claims, recommended!

What a nice record shop! Hyper organized with new and used mixed in each category. I was hoping for more used finds, but check the “new arrivals” file for each section.

Really loved the selection of posters and $5 band and label tees too.

Great place for new Sealed vinyl, some real hidden gems here!

Nice friendly atmosphere, especially the young girl with the dark hair.

Would recommend and I would definitely go back.
