One of the best & biggest thrift stores ive seen in San Diego. Check signs in store for daily colored pricetag discounts. You can save another 50% off already low prices when shopping daily promotions.

Giant store that's quite well organized and offers a good variety. The staff is pleasant and offers various daily discounts, including price by color, student discounts on select days, and military discounts. Big selection of shoes, clothes for kids, women, and men. Much smaller selection of furniture. Tons of dishes and a decent selection of electronics.

This is the go to place for me.. They have nice staff and and lots and lots of clothes.
Though they do have some price items that are way overpriced typically they're right in the correct ballpark. Not to mention that every week 3 colors are on sale and they change every week.

I love the furniture store portion across the main store. Prices are insanely low for the high quality items and knick knacks. I highly recommend sticking to the colored tag system to get the deepest discount. They also have a veteran's discount ( which isn't common even among veteran's organizations). I love the 4 VHS tapes for a $1 deal. . .

I was looking for patio furniture. The staff was very helpful! They didn't have what I was looking for, but provided the store phone number and suggested I call mid-week. When I called, I received a prompt call back and a description of the newly arrived furniture. When I expressed interest in purchasing it but couldn't get to the store until later in the day, they put it on hold and stayed late until I could get there. Thank you to Jackie, Maria, Vivian and Corey! You have just made me a loyal customer and your biggest fan!!

Great for super low cost thrifting. This particular store doesn't often have a ton of designer/high end brands (it's Spring Valley/Lemon Grove, what do you expect??) but the overall selection is solid if you're willing to dig.

I have been shopping at AM VETS for many years looking for unique items for different task, projects and clothing. I often wondered how I could donate to this organization for I never saw where I would be able to drop things off and what types of things they accepted.
I have been donating items to Goodwill for many years. Lately, I have found that Goodwill has stopped taking items that were in great shape such as certain types of small furniture, household Kitchen appliances and Baby items such as Bassinets, Cradles, Baby Carriers, Playpens. All of those items were nearly new because the baby did not stay in them long so they were carefully stored in my garage. I was told they don’t take them but I was given a place not affiliated with them to drop them off. I felt I no longer needed to support Goodwill. Today, I decided to go to AM VETS ON CARDIFF and ask if they took donations and as I drove up, I saw a young man receiving donations, so I gave my things to him. They are open from 8:00 am to about 12:00 Noon daily. He was kind and helpful. I will now bring all of my donations to this company from now on!

Another great shopping experience today I LOVE this location there are 3 I believe I've been to two but this one is better to me just the convenience of the placement of this store it is near two other thrift stores but by this one surpassed them both.

I love the store when down here at Next to Pacific Highway .this store has a lot of junky junk store I called there so I see a lot of pots and pans leftover Christmas give kids toys old fashion clothing bags in electronics and everything I'll caps classes and plastic everything and they are about three maybe all tips was a different type of clothing it's really cheap but it's a nice store to go to and you're allowed to bring your bags !
and they can have a suitcase or backpack with you it's OK to be at in the store with you !
and bedroom stuff and kitchen stuff and household goods because of it that's OK but if you're a little extra big on size I think if you go to one it's in Spring Valley is the best one that I know of and go buy clothing that they got more more stuff there that was in Spring Valley is my favorite one!

Lots of items. Cheap prices.

I love this place. They got good deals on baby toys. I paid $4 for a bag of various baby items that would have costed me at least $40. Good selection of everything else plus it is all nicely organized. I donate all my old stuff here as well.

I really do love this place. I started shopping there a couple of years ago because I liked the price now I come here to source my reselling side hustle.

There is quite a variety of items here. It is well organized so your hunt for specific items goes smooth. Friendly staff also.

Super cute clothes and shoes the rest is hit or miss. Bummer there's no dressing room but if you dress right, you can work something out by yourself (a friend or 2 is def better to have with you if possible ;-)

I love all Amvets and Disabled American Veterans thrift stores. Much bigger selection and HALF the price of Goodwill. Please donate to these actual charities and not the "for big profits" Goodwill stores.

Great deals. Various days, various color tags are 50% off and our purchases support our vets, military not animals😄

Love love love this place. They have certain color tag day sales and I never come out empty handed. I believe on Sundays ur gets pretty crazy due to all tags at 50% off!!

The employees are very helpful very polite it's very clean it was my first time there but I would definitely go back I love the prices

Their cashiers are friendly.
If amvet in el cajon dont allow you to their restroom, this one is alright, just need to ask for key to any employee there.
I have bought so many items : blender machine, smoothie maker machine, portable clock, curling iron, boots, auto seat cover, walking stick tip etc. You just need extra time to find items needed.
In front of store, there is food truck selling mexican foods. Across the street is foodland mexican supermarket and another mexican wholesaler market.
