Fantastic place to stop if you are out riding the back roads in the area. SHELL gas, fresh food, snacks / drinks and they have both indoor and outdoor seating.

To to the gentleman taking payments behind the counter.......your attitude was amazing! Your offer to help an older woman with her purchases to her car and sweet compliments made me smile. You weren’t wearing a name tag but you had on an adidas hat! Thank you providing great customer service to everyone that came in!!!!! I’m in the hospitality industry and it’s great when you can make another person smile. Will definitely go a little further out of my way to come by there!!!!

Yes, it's a neighborhood gas station. Yes, it's kinda remote. Yes, the staff is friendly and wonderful. But make no mistake. I'm here for one reason and one reason only. Chappy's chicken!

We moved to Chapin at the beginning of the summer. When you move to a new town, you pay attention to the places the locals recommend. Chappy's chicken was recommended as the best fried chicken. Mother of God. People weren't joking! The seasonings are just perfect! The chicken is always hot and juicy! I find myself here about once or twice a week. It helps me that my son goes to Chapin Elementary, so sometimes I'll pick up chicken just to eat in the car line. Just amazing!

I'll share that in January my wife and I went to Savannah, GA and we had fried chicken at Paula Deen's Mother and Sons restaurant. Paula Deen's chicken was good! But it wasn't Chappy's! I found myself here as soon as I returned.

Lots of parking space, the place is clean and they have good biscuits in the morning. Good place to fuel up the boat before heading out on Lake Murray.
