Good grocery store. Great value. The checkout lines can get long as there are usually only 2 cashiers. There have been more cashiers lately when there's long lines. Pretty clean place. There must be some change in ownership since it's looking pretty nice inside. There's vegan food for sandwiches and hotdogs. There's also a filtered water machine to refill your gallons of water. Sometimes the one's inside are not working but there is one right outside.

I was very pleased with this store during my visit I hadn't Been shopping here in such a long while.Great Customer service because The Cashier was pleasant also very helpful. Stayed Open late, good prices, clean store, decent product selection available. They have filtered water refill areas and even let you pay at the register for faster easier access.

It's open 24/7, prices are low, and the produce is fresh. I really like this place.

I was so happy when I found this store. I drive 30 miles out of my way to shop here. This place is built for families on a budget. Always the best prices around. Staff is always noticeably friendlier and more helpful than at any other grocery stores I have been to in the area. This is particulary striking for a "budget' grocery store, where you almost expect employees to be disaffected. Not here, I always feel like I am treated like a friendly neighbor down the street would treat you. Very refreshing. There is always a great selection on all the staples we need.
I also very much appreciate the store layout. Big wide isles with plenty of room to navigate. All the iles are set up like a warehouse, (better than Costco even) that are straightforward to navigate. There is never a bunch of superfluous end caps, floor displays, or strip clips to get in your way or navigate around. Its a very clean and easy store to move through and get exactly what you need.
There is generally a bit of a wait at the cashier stand. Nothing atrocious. I will say the way the cashiers are set up is "weird". Unlike any other store I have ever been in. At these stores you walk "behind" the cashier, rather than being on the opposite side of the conveyor belts. Its rather odd, but not a deal breaker. In this age of Covid 19 and social distancing though, I will be curious to see if they have changed anything about how this is set up when I go in there today. The setup as it has been makes social distancing impossible. Hopefully they have addressed this to keep their employees and their customers safe. If I was a cashier at this place and they did not address this, I would refuse to do it. Given how happy their employees have generally seemed to date though, I would think/hope that they have rethought this and would be taking good care of them in this regard. I will update after today's shopping trip.
For now, I am deeply appreciative of all our grocery workers. Thank you for doing such a wonderful and contentious job, in challenging times. You can count on me to keep up my end of the bargain and do everything I can to keep you folks safe as well.

The organization and cleanliness of this store are what drew me in and keep me coming back!

Clean, neat and great employees. Great prices and they are doing an excellent job of disinfecting touch surfaces. Thank you Foodmax employees for working during these trying times.

We always shop at food max, I love their produce always fresh, and their meats are reasonable. I love that they carry organic food now. The customer is service terrific, especially the checker named . He is funny, friendly and fast. Foodmaxx is my store!!

I like Foodmaxx, prices have gone up as with everything else recently, but they are still the best place for staple foods. I have noticed a lot more seniors shopping here lately, that tells me that it's the best prices in town for medium to small items. I was just there the other day and the fresh food item selection was very limited. I hope that it was just a temporary situation. They usually have a good selection of fresh foods.

Good selection of products, and not crazy expensive. Great place to grab your groceries!

24/7 grocery shopping is just too convenient to pass up. Generally more affordable than other large stores as well. Selection on certain goods won't be as robust as say, Albertsons/Vons/WalMart but is still more than good enough for most people. Very helpful staff, highly recommended!

FoodMaxx🛒 is one of the only 2 grocery stores we have that is ⏰24hrs😴. This is the one place I come late at night🌌 if I need or forgot anything. The prices are also the best👌 and cheapest💵 here in Santa Maria. They also have the biggest and greatest selection of gift cards💳 from any other store.🛍

Really good grocery store

FoodMax is my favorite grocery store! :-) When I shop there...they never fail in the foods,and vegetables that I need,especially watermelons!! They keep the shelves stocked and neat. I SO LOVE THEM PRICES :-)

Took my mom shopping because she needed groceries...it was supposed to be a quick trip for some meat and frozen potatoes but it took her like 45 minutes...if I send a pic of her you think you can rush her for me next time I give her a ride lol

I drive from one end of Santa Maria just to go here. It's always clean and well stocked. Everyone greets you. My go to!
