Came in this store and was helped by a lady named Mandy, first things first, SHE WAS AWESOME! Helped me out with exactly what i needed and very knowledgeable about pretty much anything i needed. Super speedy and very attentive!
Will definitely continue to shop here just for the kindness this young lady showed to me.
Someone needs to make this girl a manager or give her a raise.

They must be having an early Black Friday sale because everything in the store is on sale. They have excellent pricing markdowns on running shoes. Staff is very hopeful and knowledgeable, and very courteous.

For the life of me I don't recall the young man's name who helped me find my work boots, but he was amazing and extremely helpful. It was late, almost closing so was trying to hurry. Type of time most employees avoid eye contact so they can do their closing duties. . . . He went above and beyond to help me find my size Ariat boots and even held a conversation. Was just good to see a friendly face since I felt bad that I walked in so late. (Young, tall, brown hair in shoe department)

Very clean and well organized location. Didn't see much that was out of stock so that was awesome. Lots of registers but only 2 cashiers working, but still got people out quickly. Awesome place

Well stocked, clean, and staff is friendly and helpful. A lawn chair I bought was defective and exchanging it was a breeze.

We were extremely happy with Josh In the fire arms department. We were offered to take a survey but would rather comment on Josh who was our salesperson. Josh was very friendly. Very well trained. Informed us of options and was very professional and informative in every aspect of the process of purchasing a fire arm at Academy sports in new caney. He. Is very knowledgeable and is a great asset to your organization. Looked at us straight. Just can't say enough about his professionalism and sincerity during the sale. If in the future we decide to purchase again, it will be Josh we hope to deal with to help us make make informed decisions about our purchase.

They were low low low on selection of kids crocs..but my son prefers camo over the colors I like lol.

A nice store with a full selection. The firearms staff have always been impressive here. We are happy to go out of the way to New Caney to have a better shopping experience than having to dread going to Humble. The checkout lines here at this store are always pretty quick.

Very helpful and each associate is an expert in the department he / she works in,, Academy in valley ranch has it together I buy everything from shoes and boots to firearms and ammo here, and these guys will do whatever it takes to satisfy a customer

Went to academy the other day to get my wife a 13 fishing bait caster. While I was in the store waiting for someone to help me I was looking at amazon and noticed that they had it cheaper, so the young lady up front asked about price matching for me and one guy said he couldn’t do it and she asked the manager and he was able to do it for me!! Very happy with how the young lady went above and beyond to help me. This store is always a great help love going to this location!
