One of my fav places to go. She has all the things from infant to teen! I love running in here for birthday and baby shower gifts! My kids LOVE it here! We often get tonies, puzzles, and her AMAZING keychains!! Quailty toys and she always keeps us up-to-date with new toys arriving weekly! I highly recommend 👌

This is my entire family's favorite store in town. I can happily spend half an hour just looking through the store and enjoying the adorable plushies! I would come here even if I didn't have a child, because it's amazing and everyone can appreciate board games and calico critters. I do all my holiday and birthday shopping here now and highly recommend everyone else with littles or kids at heart to do the same!

I love shopping at Mairzy Doats! I always find the perfect items for birthday parties for all ages, for my kids, and sometimes for myself. I love supporting this local small business, and as a Bloomington native I am so happy to have a dedicated and independent toy store back in town.

I came across Mairzy Doats while running errands in the Bloomington area and decided to check it out.

This store is an absolute gem! It offers toys, books, art supplies, board games, and puzzles- all for an affordable price! However, the price isn’t the only amazing thing about this place. The items that I found here are unlike anything that the area has to offer.

The toys that are sold are all designed to inspire as much creativity and open-ended play as possible. Think along the lines of train sets, blocks, dolls, stuffed animals, pretend play items, vehicles, and SO SO MUCH MORE. As the mother of a small child who doesn’t gravitate to plastic toys that much, it’s a HUGE joy to finally have a local option to go toy shopping. It’s a huge relief to not have to rely on places like Walmart and Target whose toy selections are lackluster and don’t interest my child.

I’m also a huge fan of the board games and puzzles that the store sells. They offer games that encourage everything from cooperative play to reinforcing skills that children will learn in school. The puzzles are from high quality brands, with beautiful images, and with pieces that are sturdy and can stand up to a child’s rough handling.

Lastly, the vibe of this place is so wholesome and sweet. My son has special sensory needs and often gets fixated on things like displays. He was able to observe and inspect a toy that was on display for as long as he wanted. The owner was so kind about it- even when my son insisted on pushing buttons on the display over and over again! As a special needs family, we felt wholeheartedly welcomed and accepted for who we are, which is something incredibly hard to find in this area.

All in all, Mairzy Doats is an OUTSTANDING and MUCH NEEDED addition to the Bloomington area. If you are looking for gifts for the children in your life, this is the place to go!

We live in PA and order surprise curated boxes from Mairzy Doats for holidays and special occasions- we always get such creative toys that we wouldn’t have found on our own! Our daughter is 2 now and she’s loved everything we’ve received. Shipping is fast too. Highly recommend even if you’re out of state!

This is one of the cutest toy stores I’ve ever been to! So many beautifully curated toys, books and games for all ages. Will be doing future birthday and holiday shopping here for sure. Looking forward to an excuse to bring my kids back here soon. Shop local!!!

This is a hidden gem. Bring your child or inner child here stat! Really, really cute shop with a diverse and unique collection of toys. Owner is kind, prices seem fair. I like the wooden toy collections and the unique science and art kits for older kiddos.

Completely deserving of the 5 stars!! I don't even know where to begin with how amazing this place is. There are toy sections set up for kids to play, read, and even paint while grown ups shop. Stocked so thoughtfully with toys you won't find anywhere else and incredibly reasonable prices. We got 3 gifts for my nieces birthday for 30 dollars! She is also so very kind on the phone and will accommodate any special order needs or wants. Flock to Mairzy Doats, folks!!

This toy and book store is not to be missed- what a gem in Bloomington! I love toy stores and have frequented many and this shop had so many things I’ve never seen before. My girls were so happy to be there! We will return again and again for certain.
