Cascades Inn

This location is in the midst of a remodel, but it's a little gem. Beds are super comfortable, staff is very nice, and there is a great little bar attached. Breakfast is not hot, but it was sufficient for us. There are plenty of tasty breakfast and brunch options nearby if you need something more substantial.

The owner has put his heart in this amazing make over. The rooms are lovely. The courtyard is a treasure. Literally the best martini I have ever had.

booked a Sunday night on Travelocity and got a great deal for a last-minute booking. The outside of this place may look a little sketchy, but don’t let that fool you. The rooms are clean and well appointed it looks like they actually did a very competent renovation on the rooms recently. some properties ronovate by painting over stuff but this looked brand new. I booked a single king, and the only complaint that I have is that the room was a little smaller in floorplan than some other places. The TV remote was slightly difficult to use because I had to punch down on the button hard. those are pretty trivial things though as criticisms so if you have the opportunity to check this place out, I highly recommend it and the people running it were very nice

My home caught fire and I needed a place to stay. Cascades Inn is clean, comfortable without being ridiculous, and quiet -- perfect for what I need. There are much more expensive places in Bloomington but for me they would be a waste of money.

Stayed here on a road trip to the area. For the price point, you can't do better - clean and comfortable rooms, cute vintage touches (floral bathroom wallpaper!), the best continental breakfast I've seen on road trip hotels. We typically stay at hotels in this range and this is by far the nicest.

I stayed at this hidden gem during a road trip in Indiana and loved it so much. The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and super comfortable. I especially liked the design and the beautiful garden. The staff are helpful. The breakfast is continental, but probably one of the best continental breakfasts I've had in any hotel. I strongly recommend this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I had a surprisingly great experience! Despite its rating, the place was impressively clean, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant stay. What amazed me the most was the affordability of the hotel compared to the excellent service and amenities they provided. I highly recommend this gem for budget travelers looking for a clean, friendly, and cost-effective option.

Loved the landscape & courtyard garden. Beautiful flowers and plants everywhere. Loved the opportunity to support a small local business, that was also supporting other local businesses. :) The locally-roasted Quarrymen coffee was delicious, and the continental breakfast was satisfying. The room was clean and comfortable. We'll definitely stay here again in the future.

Where to start. This is an older motel that is being imaginatively restored and recreated.
The location was within a couple minutes of the interstate and a 5-10 minute drive to the most amazing dining options.
Our room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
The staff was outstanding - it was obvious that each person we interacted with loved their job and was happy to help at every turn.
The courtyard was amazing, in nicer weather it would have been nice to have breakfast outside, listing to the cascading fountain and enjoying the birdsong.
The breakfast room had real dishes - so refreshing.

My daughter and I stayed at Cascades Inn on a Saturday evening after coming into town to hear my niece sing in an opera at IU. This hotel is a hidden gem at a wonderful price! The room had been recently redone and was very comfortable. The hotel is extremely quiet and we slept well. My daughter plans to study plant science in college, so she was especially interested in all the lovely plants and flowers in the courtyard, and we also enjoyed the fresh cut flowers adorning all the breakfast tables. Before we resumed our journey on Sunday morning, we took a stroll out back down the hiking trail and through the woods--the trail is steep but we were glad we went. A great start to our day! I also wanted to be sure to mention that we appreciated the owner's flexibility. I had made a mistake on my reservation that I didn't catch until later; when I called to explain my mistake, the manager was so kind and she graciously corrected my mistake at no extra cost. Then when we arrived, we were told that since they had the space available, they had upgraded us to a more expensive room than what we had originally reserved, but for the same original price. We will be coming back to enjoy more concerts and operas at IU, and we plan to stay at Cascades Inn every time!

We had 3 ajoining room and my room had 2 queen beds while the other 2 had King suites. Service was good but ran out of towels on Saturday. There was a wedding being held there and we had the reception in the Maple room and the smaller area where the serve there breakfast each morning. They were very helpful making things easier for us sitting up the wedding reception.

I stay here for work frequently, and I’ve loved watching the renovations as I’ve stayed here over the last two years! The courtyard is beautiful. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and I would highly recommend this spot.

We rented a couple adjacent halls for a graduation party. The rooms were prepared for us and one is adjacent to a bar, offering adults the option to have a drink. The service was the 5 star winner. Everyone involved was great and I would use them again any time.

We came back late after a long day and our digital key would not work. I made 4 trips down to the office from the second floor before getting someone to come unlock the door and tell us the battery was dead on the reader.

I went with some friends and we last minute decided to stay in town instead of driving home. Cascades and came up as a reasonably priced option with good reviews. It was easy to get to and the front desk staff were very friendly. They made it easy to book and check in. There’s also a newly opened Sleepy’s bar with a very friendly owner/bartender. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room. Everything seemed clean and it was perfect for a quick one night stay.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Loved the library in the lobby! The rooms were large with plenty of room, and they were very comfortable. The breakfast was fairly simple but delicious each day. Some work is being done on the outside of the building to improve the looks. There was a beautiful courtyard area with tables, umbrellas, chairs, and gardens, too. Definitely worth the stay! We will be back.

Perfect location. Excellent amenities.
You truly can’t judge a book by its cover. The heart of this property is not visible on the exterior. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Often rooms in older hotels have an old stink to them. This room had no such issue. It not only looked clean, it smelled clean.
Also, we really enjoyed the on property neighborhood bar and especially the owner.

The room was clean but needs a little TLC, but the place is a gem. The staff are very polite and professional. The reopening of the attached bar Sleepers was a bonus, and the owner/ operator and patrons were entertaining. I would not hesitate to stay again. It appears they are working hard to improve the place, keep up the good work.

Amazing place to stay. Hotel has old bones that have been updated throughout. Courtyard is a great place to relax - landscaped and secluded. Rooms are the top in comfort. Luxury beds, completely renovated. Very nice continental breakfast in the morning. Staff is above average. I came with a trailer I needed to unhook from my truck and Mike put warning cones around it to protect it. Once you stay here, you'll come back. Outstanding value.

We stayed for two nights and had no problems. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. I understand the owner has been making ongoing renovations, and although our room had no issues, I bet that if you have a problem and let the staff know, they'll do their best to help you out. They just seem like they care, and that's rare!
