Avalon Ace Hardware

I'll be honest, I always thought of Ace as a mediocre hardware store and rarely went in there. Then I heard about their HUGE selection of actual hardware. Bolts, nuts, specialty hardware, stainless, metric, you name it, they have it. Home Depots hardware section especially for metric pales in comparison to this goliath. I was doing a rather involved car project last weekend and needed some M8-1.25 50mm bolts, which are pretty specific and they had them. Exactly what I needed and very high quality pieces too. I'll be back many times to this location now that the secret has been revealed that they're actually awesome.

Store is great. Always prefer to come here over the larger stores if I'm able to. Location isn't bad for where I live, and haven't had any issues finding what I need here except one time when they only had white grout and my wife wanted gray for the backsplash getting installed and didn't have time to wait for an order or anything. Prices are good, selection for basic hardware needs is good even if slightly limited compared to larger stores but for my, most of my needs are around the house DIY projects and this place is great.

Showed up a few weeks ago needing to get some hardware to mount my license plate more securely, but wasn't sure exactly what I'd need. I showed someone my situation, he found a piece of hardware I didn't know existed, mounted the plate for me, and sent me on my way. Friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back for future needs.

I came here to get a very specific Benjamin Moore color I saw on pinterest. It took us a while to find the exact one, but the girl who helped me was super friendly and helpful. Everybody loves the color so I'm happy.

Couple of things I was looking for theybdidnt have but the Manager and the rest of the staff was very nice and helpful and willing to look for alternatives. Nice to see a store well staffed and knowledgeable unlike the big box stores where you can't find anyone to help.

Marc the employee working closing shift on 1-2-2022 was excellent! He helped me find the screws needed for my TV mounting project within a couple of mins.. he saved me a lot of time and headache, also gave me a fantastic deal for 4pk! PLEASE PROMOTE MARC!!!! I thought that I have posted a review but it appears it did not go through.
Last week I ran to Ace with 3 parts from a bed rail assembly package that I received for my Mom who is 98 and two screws/washers that were too small.
Ron helped me find the right screws with an incredible helpful attitude. He was not judging my ignorance and explained everything to me. It was only a $5. purchase but his service was a 5 stars worthy.
After thanking he said if I had any questions to come back and if there was anything else he could do. I asked if he could put the 3 parts together and he Did!!!
Ron you are a reflection of Avalon Ace Team. Who needs big box hardware stores? I will stay with my neighborhood @ ACE that makes me fill part of the community.

I was actually surprised. They had everything I needed, at the same or better price than L***'s. BONUS : Staff gave me great advice, and showed me what I needed. From parking to shopping to checking out, I spent far less time there than I would have going to L' s.

UPDATE - Leaving this retail area takes quite a while, as the light does not stay green for very long, as there is far more traffic going in the other directions. I was only 8 cars back, and it took 3 sets of lights to get out; about 15 minutes. This is not Ace Hardware's fault.

Good selection, helpful people. They have just about anything you may need in a convenient location.

I love ace hardware. This is a great place, they have everything from grills to cook out to plants and of course hardware too. You can also get keys made here as well. Love it!!! They are always happy to help you anyway they can. I appreciate that.

Everyone there was helpful as always. I'm not sure how they fit so much into a small store, but they always have what I need! Very clean and well organized.

Alex the manager and his co workers were awesome and very respectful and patient with me. Alex knew exactly where everything was and very knowledgeable. He helped me every step of the way. Always helpful staff and a quick, safe checkout even though lots of people were shopping today. Their inventory is extensive and much easy to search than the competition. I always think of Ace Hardware when looking for that obscure part or product.

Great place for staff who know their stuff. That actually surprise me every time with random things you wouldn’t expect them to carry. They are Stihl dealers. I went to get a primer bulb for a Husqvarna saw. Turns out they had a cab in the back area - were able to sell me the exact part. You pay a tiny bit more on a few items over box store, but you end up with good advice. Totally recommend them.
