Love Ventura Hobbies. Very well stocked with models. I've purchased 5+ in the last few years myself along with paint and such.

Fantastic Selection for such a small store. The Model Trains section is quite nice and everything is priced fairly with a few exceptions of some KATO Models (quite overpriced for the P42DC Genesis...) Overall though very nice store and informative owner. It would be pretty cool if there was a used Trains section if the store could manage. 5 Stars!

Has lots of nice models tanks and planes and jets and cars and ships I bought a couple models I can say that they were very good none were broken and they were all in a good price and a nice guy👍

Guy, I've been going to V.H. for about 27 years. since the 90s. And those guys have never disappeared.. Now they continue with great knowledge, quality products, and bring happiness to our projects.. Good job, guys and God bless

We have shopped at Ventura Hobbies for years it is truly one of the last great hobby shops. They are great for plastic models, trains, slot cars, and a bunch of the classic toys many of us loved as kids. Enjoy!

Oh boy !
This shop has been there since I was a young boy. I'm very pleased to say they are still in business! Just took my wife and son to see the place where I use to get models kits as a child. When people say the owner is "rude or rough" in other reviews that I've read, it's probably because the customer is being too sensitive. The owner gave me and my wife some great wisdom on life during our visit...and NO the prices are NOT high... there's been times I wanted to buy a Gundam model from Hobby Lobby or other like-stores, but those prices are extremely high. At Ventura Hobbies, I believe the prices are fair. Thank you for your business. Keep going strong. I look forward to returning again to buy models from you for our father and son activities.

The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. I only needed a few small items but I plan on coming back for all of my modeling and project needs. With stores like this dying out, it's great to see rows and rows of stacked boxes again. You just can't get that experience online.

Love this hobby store! They have a huge assortment of models to choose from. They also have lots of scale train items such as figures, track, locomotives, cars & so much more. They have a great selection of hobby paints in both acrylic and enamel. If you need a hobby tool for your project, they have a great selection to choose from. They also have rockets & mission model kits for school projects. Definitely recommend this hobby store to everyone.

Great service, good selection. Have been going to this establishment for years and have had all my plastic model building needs met and then some. Vern knows this hobby, offers tips and tricks to make your model look realistic and a joy to build. This is NOT an RC car shop. Go to Marty's hobbies in Thousand Oaks. Sure beats the non-help from online services. Support your local hobby shop!

The owner was very helpful with all my questions was able to help me pick out some ballast for my railroad he also sold me an amazing cowboy with roping calf that I've been wanting for a while The piece has been discontinued and I'm glad to have gotten highly recommend going he has stuff for airplanes Lionel h o n scale and much more

Hobbyist paradise! This is the only TRUE hobby shop, independently owned, in Ventura County. They are in SUITE 128, NOT 117!!

One of my favorite small, owner run hobby shops. Very glad to have this near my home, I can always count on great advice and products. Nice to still have a shop around that caters to those of us who like to build our own models.

These guys know what they’re talking about when it comes to models and the like. If you have a question on glues and which would be best for your project, they’ll let you know. If they don’t know off hand, they’ll help you figure it out. One gentleman is extremely personable and the other is a bit curt, but still very helpful, so don’t take too much offense :) I would highly recommend this place for any hobbyist looking for a local business to support.

For being such a small shop, the owner stocks a really good variety of airplane models. I always find something interesting and uncommon everytime I go. Owner is pretty nice.

I don't live in Ventura anymore, but I try to stop in when in the area for work. Vern is a great information source for someone like me that's an occasional model train enthusiast. I've never felt anything other than welcome. I know I ask some nubie questions. All I get is an answer. That's different than the store closer to home.

I went here awhile ago but I enjoyed walking in the very first time I entered! The owner is nice, the store is stocked with different models and model kits! I totally recommend visiting this store!

Great products. Perfect for summer. Gotta keep the kids busy. They have an awesome selection of stuff. Less screen time, more build time is my goal.

Great hobby store. Friendly helpful staff. Not many traditional brick & mortar hobby shops left! Definitely worth going there!
