Joey's Sub & Sandwich Shop

The pepper steak sub was recommended to me and it was amazing! The bread was soft and fresh! The meat was seasoned to perfection and the fries were perfect. I’ll definitely be going back.

This is such an awesome place. It’s got the old timey mom and pop shop feel. Everyone is so laid back and kind. The food is phenomenal and so fresh! I live like 5 minutes away, have for years, and have never been before. I was looking for a place nearby to take my daughter after a day at the park so we wouldn’t have to drive into Lexington and this place came up on the map with great reviews. I can see why! They even have a little table with activities for the kids to play with while waiting for food. A big hit for my two year old. We will now be going back often!

Super good food! I learned the owner (I’ll bet you a dollar his name is Joey!), opened this restaurant when he was 19 years old! Awesome food. Great service! Clean! And Joey’s mom is the best in the whole world. Friendly lady! Joey, you need to give her a raise. Or, maybe be the best son known to mankind! She is bringing in business like there is no tomorrow! I want her to be my mom, except she’s about as young as I am. I asked her what sub sandwich was best. She made some very logical and helpful suggestions. So good. Try any of them. Everything I saw coming out and being eaten looked REALLY GOOD. So, I had the Club Sub Sandwich. It was warm and good! Do it! Get one! Wait… get three of them! Take one home to your mom. Give one to Joey’s mom. She is a peach! Thank you for great food and great experience!

The best sub in town!
I always get the pepper-steak sub. Hot, warm and gooey, with provolone cheese. Maybe the best sub I've ever eaten. Just a good old hometown joint. Thanks Joey!

This home town restaurant has been in business forever and it still holds the timeless charm of a mom and pops restaurant.
The waitstaff are friendly and want to make you part of their community, while you enjoy any number of delicious favorites from your choice of sub sandwich to chillies cheese tater tots.
I personally recommend the grilled chicken club sandwich with the chili tots.
Definitely must check this place out!

Came to Joey's during the Peach Festival and it was great! The wait was a little long but due to the increased amount of traffic and crowds, it was definitely understandable as each plate is cooked to order. The pimento cheeseburger was absolutely amazing. Service was great, they made you feel right at home with southern hospitality.

A quaint and welcoming restaurant. Stopped in for a Club Sub to go. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sandwich. A very fresh, warm bun loaded with meat, cheese, lettuce and freshly chunked tomatoes, topped off with Italian seasoning. I will definitely stop again.

Been away for a few years but a recent visit has me hooked again. Great food, great staff and they care about their customers. Just great !

Food was good. Service pleasant, took a long time to get our burgers. We hoped to see Myrtis, but she wasn't there. Hope she is doing well.

Social distancing enforced, server wore mask. Very good local place. Ordered shrimp and flounder with onion rings and salad. I will be back.
