Their sausage biscuits in the morning are fantastic. Fountain drinks and cooler selection is unmatched compared to the other gas stations in town. All the employees have been extremely nice during the early morning and overnight when I’ve visited.

We live 3 blocks from QT. We were so happy that QT was coming to Hillsboro. How not to happy. Being in there 2 times. Was so rude to us.

I would love to give a 5 star review because all of my experiences here with staff and products, have been amazing until today. I have never been in anytime except late nights, until today. I went in about 10:15am to get gas and a drink. When I got to the register, the cashier was kind but when I went to pay, the debit machine said “terminal could not complete transaction” or something along those lines. So I tried to run it again, same message. So I apologized to the cashier and let her know I was going to go get my other debit card, even though I knew there was a substantial amount on the one I had tried and I had also just used it 5 minutes prior. Come back in, run my other card, same message. Asked if I could try again, same message. The cashier said, maybe your card is locked. BOTH cards!!! I don’t think so. So I went out and called BOTH card companies and neither one of them showed any transactions attempted or declined here. So the companies both also told me to go try another store, I did and bam, first try for both and they approved. Now to my point. Had the cashier slowed down and moved me to another register all together, not just the other card machine attached to the same register, I believe it would have worked. I know the employees are just starting and it’s a fast paced environment but if I were a cashier, which I have been and someone’s cards, not just 1 card but 2, popped up the same message, I would definitely believe there was something wrong with the machine. The employees should slow down a little and realize that sometimes machines do stop working and they need to be educated on the signs that it’s the machine and not the customers cards. When and if I go back, I will definitely be using cash, so this does not happen again.
