Cardboard Castle Games

2023-01: Absolutely glad my son and I finally came to Cardboard Castle Games. AJ and Mikey were super chill but knowledgeable guys who answered a lot of questions about a few things for us. They had a great selection of board games, card games, dice, miniatures paint/supplies, Magic, D&D, and much more that I can't even pretend to know about. Some of their prices were higher than other retailers while other prices were spot on with the manufacturers direct pricing. Either way, with such a relaxed, inviting, and overall good vibe business, I'm okay paying a little extra to have them stay in business so close by. My son is looking forward to checking out their Pokemon tournaments. And I'm looking forward to seeing what Theory 11 Premium Playing Cards will matriculate through their stock over time. 😁

Deleted my old review and am leaving a new one after a couple other subsequent visits. What a wonderful shop with tons to choose from and helpful employees. I especially love how much they have going on for the community that includes everyone from kids to adults. Sure wish this place was closer to where I live!

Great store if you wanna start a new hobby in gaming or just looking for new types of games to play. Nice variety of games. They also have some merch for different games as well! The staff who work here are awesome. They also offer a calendar of events that the store hosts for different game or card days!

A great hobby store and one of the three cornerstone stores of Augusta.

While more focused on card games, they've always a good selection of what you're looking for. I find it a charming local business that I'm always happy to stop in when I can.

Great place to get various board games. They also host a lot of card tournaments for various types of games and the are always very polite and friendly.

Awesome place to find tabletop board games in the area - large selection of titles and the staff are incredibly helpful! Always try and purchase from my FLGS!

My recommendation: pickup a copy of Cockroach Poker for under $15 - tons of fun!

To day was their first painting class. For those who wanted step by step instructions, there weren't any. The instructors did assist those with questions. I had fun. I went online to get an idea of how I wanted to pain my Owlbear and asked questions as I went. I can't wait for another class.

Really great and Poppin place in the CSRA that caters to the nerdy and the table top crowd. The place is very active and has many people who attend regularly throughout the week to play games. Great place to socialize and they've got plenty of different card games for sale. Fun place and worth going to if you're into card games and tabletop.

Such an awesome store! The staff is always very helpful and kind. You can really learn alot about different games. Very informative and a nice location. We went in looking for a new game and we ended up going back two days later to get even more!

This is a fantastic shop that specializes in Magic the Gathering but carries all kinds of tabletop gaming products.

I love this store. They have an amazing staff and a wonderful selection of games. They also host all sorts of events for different card games, ttrpgs and miniatures. Its a great location to find new games to play!

One of the very few game shops in this area where you can play Magic. Very large selection of Magic singles available. Also sells board games and other type of entertainment.

Nice and helpful. Some people at work wanted to start playing Magic during lunch. So I stopped by as I was told that was the place to go to get started. Super helpful. Will definitely go back!

Started my new journey of Warhammer miniatures with my husband here. Literally spent 30 mins in 1 aisle. I think we only experienced a fraction of what this place has to offer. We noticed a whiteboard where they have shows they host like digimon, one piece, and a bunch of other shows. And it looked like they held card games there too. Honestly super awesome place, I will be returning for the Warhammer deepkin set and some paint.

Cardboard castle is one of the best tabletop oriented stores I’ve ever been into. Having played dnd since I was a preteen this store was actually my first time playing adventure league, and it’s an incredibly friendly experience at the shop

If you’re into board games? They’ve got you-

I know nothing about MTG- but they’ve got some stuff for that too lol

Amazing place! Atmosphere is very welcoming and a large variety of games they support. Constantly holding events for multiple games, so it's best to follow them on Facebook. This has become my "spot" for gaming needs.

DnD, YuGiOh, Magic, Pokémon, Warhammer... just about every fix is here. They have tournaments, and each one looks like a ton of fun. The place is super kid friendly as well, and the staff/owners can relate well to your interests. The bathroom is surprisingly kept clean even during busy days where people are there for hours on end. There's plenty of tables and seats, so even if you're there just to scrap through the common card boxes, don't worry, you still have a place. I've always desired a place of this caliber in the Augusta area for years. My military service prevented me from experiencing their opening, but I'm happy to be back to see it happen. Thanks a lot, guys!

Incredible experience! Very open, clean, and inviting space! I am pretty easily intimidated by game stores, but everyone was super friendly, and there was a great mix of people. (I know I get intimidated when I walk in and there are no other girls :/ )
They had tons of TTRPG miniatures, and lots of magic the gathering cards and accessories. I will definitely be back!

So much fun! Magic tournaments every Friday night and the turn out is amazing! So many people! You sound NEVER know from looking in the window….but go inside! Tables and chairs set up for groups to get their game on! Everyone is super friendly. Such a great experience, highly recommend!
