Best candy shop in the Northern Burbs! Fantastic service and selection. Old school candies that will take you back to childhood (no matter your age) and make you exclaim, "I remember this!" Highly recommended.

I am a vendor at the Strawberry Fest and I visited their store multiple times to purchase my favorite coconut haystack and chocolate covered raisins. Love the variety of nostalgic candles and gums they carry. Took me back to my school time ! Everything is fresh and good quality ! A must visit. Thank you for your great customer service !

I bought a salted caramel taffy apple this weekend during apple fest…I was a little shocked at the price when I got to the register but I am currently eating it and it is delicious!! Will be back next year! :)

Really cool cozy candy shop. Great selections and excellent customer service. They sweets by weight, also found cool themed gift boxes arranged by decades.

I love this candy shop! All of their candy is very reasonably priced, their fudge and taffy have a large variety of fun variations, and the store has a nice vintage feel to it! Their $0.99 mystery bags are worth every penny and I highly recommend getting one if you’re feeling overwhelmed with the selection of candy!

Smells so good in here!! Nostalgia galore -- from Necco wafers to Cow tails. There's plenty to choose from in moderate portions (or you could go crazy).

Fabulous old school candy shop. They have everything and the service is top notch. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the store is well stocked and impeccably clean! Highly recommend their dark chocolate sea salt caramels or amazing premade “decade boxes” for a unique and useful gift! Can’t wait to return; one of the best parts of historic Long Grove!

This place is adorable! Great variety, very clean and cute, and the prices are great! The store seemed to have been designed and laid out with care; it is welcoming and pleasant. Their candy selection is huge; we got a half pound bag of a bunch of different things and all of the candy tasted fresh (you know how sometimes you buy a candy bar or something from a gas station where they don't turn over stuff that is expired? Not at this place, everything tasted great). Go here!

When I walked in Creedence Clearwater Revival was playing in the background; that was a good sign! Killer Candy selection and mouth-watering chocolate. Yum Yum

Great spot, very nice selection, especially of "flashback" types of candy. Owner great guy, family owned and operated candy shop and he is deeply involved in the continued success of this historic area. For sure worth your time to stop in, meet some great folks and spend a few nickels on candy you haven't seen since your youth. This is precisely the type of family operation that we need to support today, to make we'll see them "on the other side" of COVID-19 insanity!!

6/2021 Ok. How can you possibly go wrong with a store like this? Oh, ok, I guess if I bought it out and ate it all, that would be bad. But what a way to go! Fun shop with fun memories of old candies and new ones. Fun for all ages. The staff are fun and friendly and you will enjoy yourself in here. Not much room. But a place packed with good fun, good eats, and lots to look at. Chocolate was fantastic! Dark chocolate and milk. It was all yummy!

This place is great for the novelty and convenience that it is. Anyone complaining the candy is expensive has no room to talk if they have ever bought a $3 glass of soda at a restaurant. Obviously a 2 liter from Walmart is half the cost and twice the quantity, and when comparing prices for bulk candy online, it’s a little under twice the price for the same quantity at Ma & Pa’s. Don’t get me wrong, I like my 5lb, inexpensive as possible, online orders of Swedish Fish as much as the next person, but anyone demanding atmosphere, instant gratification and inexpensive product, needs to find a golden ticket in their Wonka bar for a free tour of his chocolate factory, in which they will fall victim to one of its morality test traps and be given a reality wake up call.

We’ve purchased candy from here every single holiday (and in-between). It’s the perfect spot to get everything you need in one-stop. I love all the extras they have onsite, little gifts for the kids that aren’t candy related and you can’t get anywhere else!!! Super cute, great prices, I highly recommend!

I love the ORGANIC CHOCOLATE here! Ma & Pa's is a cool little shop in the historic downtown area of Long Grove that preserves the old vibes of the classic candy shop (and some rare vintage candies too). I go for the single origin chocolate bars with fresh roasted cacao straight from the farm. SO GOOD!

One of my favorite stops when I go to Long Grove! They have every flavor and kind of candy you can think of, and it's a good price!
