I was at home depot a couple of weeks ago, yes it was clean and in order. The isle was very clear and organized. I was looking for something to wrap my cords up were there not just laying on the floor so one of the customer service help me and walk me right were their was several varieties. She was such a pleasant helper. Kalilah Morrow was her name she made sure I was help she was askng others to help her find them for me. They are call Gear Tie. Thank you so much we still have good customer service who cares.

My 5 star review is not for this location as a whole, but SPECIFICALLY for John in Customer Service.
My husband and I visit this store an average of 4 times per week. Some of our purchases are very large, some are little.
Some recent purchases we've been making are for our bathroom.
We have very challenging work schedules and therefore pick up of our larger purchases can be delayed.
Long story short, we've had quite a debacle with a couple of orders...items arriving broken, things shipped back rather than allowing allotted time to pick up...and John had been there to pick up our pieces and make things right.
He's gone out of his way to search for items, gone to bat for us when needed when things weren't right...he's an above and beyond kinda guy who deserves recognition.
I appreciate you, John, and I hope you hear accolades from your higher ups.

This is my main home depot, everything is always nicely stocked, employees are so helpful. SAM FROM HARDWARE IS THE REAL G! He showed me the promotions they had going on and hooked me with such a great deal on Ryobi. I'm so happy. Give this guy a promotion! I came in to buy some nails and ended up spending 150$ but I'm so happy with my purchase. So worth it!

Roberto at home depot is surely worthy of commendation!! I had need for a pick up and he took care of it speedily and offered insight on my current needs, answering questions and giving advice and tips. Excellent customer service. Love this team at Home Depot!

Amazing service at this location. I had a major issue with a larger item purchased and Flo, Yajaira (who could not have been nicer), & Noreen worked hard to help me resolve it. I’m grateful and will be back.

It’s that time of year again, mice are active. Just being prudent to see if we have any at the house. Home Depot Downers Grove has the Victor wood with metal trap mechanism (the best trap you can buy) a 4-pack for $2.47 in aisle 1 - a great price for a great trap!!

Bought a deep freezer that ended up being damaged, brought it back 20 minutes after and Mike in returns went and got me a new one and opened the box and made sure the next one wasn’t damaged and helped me load it. Mike was super nice and helpful made the experience 10x better

A staff member of Home Depot named Bob helped me rent a trailer and bush mower and my experience from both a customer service perspective and rental perspective were absolutely stellar. Bob was incredibly helpful explaining all aspects of the unit I was renting, and i was able to plow down some overgrown weeds on my property in confidence. Thank you for a great experience!

I usually have a good experience at my neighborhood Home Depot. But today, folks were extra lovely, so I had to take the time to acknowledge the experience and the employees; two in particular today. I stopped in to return a defective item and was greeted in a comical and friendly way by Mark. Pleasant conversation, smooth transaction, felt like a valued customer. I then stopped by lumber for some assistance and had the pleasure of being assisted by Sam. In and out, pleasant interactions and good service. Keep up the great work Downers Grove team.

Home Depot and the plumbing department to the rescue. I was trying to replace a shower mixer cartridge that was leaking when the entire fixture snapped off. I rushed in to the store at 950 PM and in minutes they suggested shark caps for the hot and cold water supplies, which temporarily solved my plumbing issue and allowed me to turn the water back on for the balance of the house. A temporary solution for a very active house of 5. Thank you for the quick thinking guys in the plumbing department as the store was closing. We are very thankful. Had to exchange a chainsaw. Called ahead. Very polite on the phone. Came in and it was taken care of in about 3 minutes. Thanks for making it so quick and easy.

The ultimate home hardware supply store. Anything you need for home repairs, reno, update or enhancement you will find it here, tools, supplies and equipment. Prices are aggressive and highly competitive eliminating the need for cross shopping.

Home Depot is definitely the best and only store where I can find everything with regards to home improvement. I went to the store, and there is a wide and spacious parking lot, and I did not really have a hard time because parking is easy and accessible. The store is big and spacious. Although the store has a nice layout and everything is organized, the employees are always friendly and helpful, and they have answers for whatever I ask about. They are also knowledgeable about pretty much everything. There are a variety of options and choices for everything, and I like them. The employees also have suggestions and recommendations that I must say are really helpful and sometimes true. They do not only have good quality products but also, of course, the best and most improved or updated products as well. I got to choose everything I like, and I do not really have a problem with its quality, designs, or anything else because everything is guaranteed to be great. The prices are also fair and reasonable. I highly recommend this store. They have the best things with regard to home improvement, hardware, tools, and anything else, and also, the service is great and everyone is always willing to help with their best knowledge.

Great Experience! Just stopped in to get a few things for my shop and ran into an associate. He asked if i needed help and not only pointed me in the right direction he took me to it! Thank you for your attention to detail in customer service!

On Sunday night my sewer backed up in my laundry room, and I had to rented a snake from Downers grove HD at 7:30pm, a half an hour before they closed. I got home and realized I did not have the part to access a 90° angle in the kit and I called the store and it was five minutes to eight, And I was 15 minutes away and the associate said there was nothing he could do. I then talked to a manager Brian and he said no problem, he will hold it for you and wait for me to come and get it. Thank you Brian, you save the day. It would have been a disaster if I had to wait until morning.

He goes above and beyond for customers I will take my business to your location and let all my family and friends know.
I was remodeling my kitchen which is very small and had to buy a stove ,fridge and microwave I had a tough time finding a fridge went in there with my specs Bill was able to locate one for me we ordered it it fits seamlessly in there. He’s amazing I always look for him! I also was in there in March buying a new dishwasher and I took my business to Bill. It’s very hard to find customer service nowadays so I just wanna give a shout out to him.!!!

A staff member of Home Depot named Bob helped me rent a trailer and bush mower and my experience from both a customer service perspective.

I placed an order for curbside pickup. Curbside pickup goes until 6pm. Unfortunately by the time I got parked and made it through the phone tree, it was 6:02, and the lady on the phone explained to me that they wouldn't bring out my order because I was a few minutes late. I went inside and got my order. It was 10 bags of potting mix, 2 cubic feet each - the huge bags. While inside, I saw the phone number for the store manager. When I got back to my truck, I called to let them know what had happened. The store manager wasn't available, but I was able to talk to an associate named Jim. I took full responsibility for being late, and explained I didn't want anything, but just wanted to let them know how easy it would have been for the employee to just grab my order for me. I also explained that I have a bad knee, hence the curbside pickup in the first place. I also threw in that I'm a veteran. It never hurts. Jim told me to stay where I was, and he and another associate came out to load the dirt into my truck for me. Jim did not bother with explaining the 6pm cutoff time, or with defending his colleague. He simply fixed it for me. The point of this review is not to point out a mistake made by a Home Depot associate; we all make mistakes. The point is to commend Jim and Home Depot for what happened next. Thanks again Jim.

I have been working on my dad's home with some projects. It seems when I go to get supplies or have questions I don't get help. But at this Home Depot that was not the case! While walking through the lumber area I was approached by Anello G. He asked if he could help me I explained the project I was working on he took the time to help me find the proper wood cut the dimensions I needed for several shelves that will actually work for me. The store in Downers Groce will be my to go to store from this point forward all because of the helpful gentleman! Thank you Anello!

They were very friendly to my dog, and they had most of what I needed today.
