It's a sugar bank with all the goods!! Kids loved it, and they even convinced me to eat some candy, too. They have some obscure selections unique to its store as well as vintage flavors that remind you of memories past. Fun little spot.

What a fantastic candy store. As one of four stores located in Southern California and the only store in San Diego county, the Balboa Candy shop has everything. From Taffy to in-store made fudge, they have it all. Balboa Candy has two locations in New Port and one location in Palm Springs. The staff was very accommodating and gladly answered all our questions.

The choices here are mind boggling. The chocolate fudge is super delicious. The customer service is really top notch. Clarice answered all the questions I had regarding different types of candy. Ten percent discount for all local residents. A great addition to La Jolla!

Wide variety of taffy is what attracted us into the store, made in Utah we were told, so not local but still very good and great taste. We were trying to find and sample local made treats, they did make their own fudge though!

This place is such a joy to visit. The staff was very polite and the store is well kept, everything in stock and not stale. The Mexican dark chocolate fudge is out of this world!
Definitely coming back our next visit to California.

This place has a lot of Salt Water Taffy, especially once you walk into the store. Has a lot of flavors, but there is also a good selection of other candy as well.

Loved how accurate 3/4 of a lb is 16 Taffy pieces.😺 A little variety of 🍬🍭 throughout the store.

I can never pass up a candy shop! This shop had it all, a lot of candy that I grew up on that you just can't find anywhere else I probably gained 10 pounds, but it was worth it
